Pragati College Review

First Of all, there is no particular entrance exam to get admission to this college, just we have to choose in DOST application which is online, after getting admission we have to visit the college as per the college's instructed date and confirm our admission. We have to take all the required certificates for admission like 10th memo, 12th memo, T.C, bonafide etc. And then we have to pay the total academic fees and collect the ID card and receipt. That's about the admission process. But they made us wait for every small thing which is very dissatisfying. The process of admissions goes very slowly which should be taken care of further and complete the process smoothly and easily.

The Course (BBA) is very good and easily understandable, I have chosen this course because it has more value in the upcoming days, further it has very much demand and many of my family and friends suggested I take this course. Every faculty in the College are well educated and knowledgeable with much experience in the teaching sector. The way they explain the classes is very friendly and understandable. If you want you can take an extra class for your doubts clarification, which is very helpful for every student. Every year has 2 Semesters, every semester takes up to 3months minimum and then later in the semester exams takes place where we have to go to another college for writing exam as instructed by Osmania University. 38 percent is the passing percentage for exams.

Placements are Offered in the final year of our college, some are before the 5th semester and some are after that. For us before the 5th-semester exams only Company called Sutherland came for the placements, the average package was 1.5 lakhs and the highest was 2 lakhs depending upon the skills and talents of individuals. There is no particular percentage for the placements, just the student must have to be passed that's it, every thing depends on one's skills, knowledge and talent. My plan after my degree is to do MBA.

Fees for every year for our course are almost Rs.24,000/- and scholarship is also provided by the government which may come up to Rs.10,000/- to 12,000/- which can almost reduce the fees burden. A middle-class family can afford this college. In the final year, we have some Placement opportunities, Companies like Sutherland and many more companies come to placements for providing jobs to students.

Life in the college is very nice and good. College has a library which has every Course book, it only has course-related books there are no other books to read which is somewhat not nice. It also has an auditorium for meetings and seminar halls and Commerce labs as well as computer labs. Every year we have a fresher's party and a farewell party. We celebrate some of the festivals too. The only disappointment is there are no sports-related activities conducted.
