Remarks

I have given the entrance exam for admission to M.Sc. Botany. I come under the general category and cleared that exam above the cutoff and then the admission process started with fixed seats for each category basis and merit basis. Some seats were again given to the other category students so I got admission to the SFS. there is a reservation system and different no. of seats are fixed according to the category. I want that this system should be changed.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I am a science bio student and I'm fond of plants and love to study about those that's why I have taken admitted to this college and course. All the faculty members are good with high qualifications and are supportive of study and projects. The exams were semester based so overall in the course 4 times with practice exams.

Placement Experience

3

Students are eligible for B.Sc. also and M.Sc. depending upon their grade level and interview basis. Most of the companies come for chemistry students and mathematics and also many in botany. Companies such as arcgate, Hindustan zinc etc. come for the placements. with an average package of 2- 2.5 lacs and a max of 4 lacs

Fees and Financial Aid

As Mohanlal Sukhadia university is a government university so it is better than other private colleges in fee structure. Government colleges have more value so the degree is too much valuable. Fees are low so easily affordable according to the merit basis and exam cutoff, also different scholarships are available for students with below the average family's income.

Campus Life

3.5

Every year elections are conducted in the university for different positions and the winning team organises a party and many free services and facilities are provided before the elections. Every year dandiya, Freshers and many other functions are conducted. Many books are available in the library and some course books need to be brought from the market which is nearby the college campus. Sports teams are made for a different levels of competition.

Placement Experience:

For Master's students, they can start appearing for placement as soon as starting their 2nd Semester. There are lots of opportunities for students to grab a good placement. The average package for Master's can be 6-8LPA while the highest placement last year was 54LPA

Course Curriculum Overview:

- The course curriculum was specifically based on giving more knowledge and insights about the course I chose. I went onto specialization and chose microbiology and learnt that it has various other fields because of the curriculum. - The course and lab prepares well for the real-world applications. - There should have been more hands-on experience with some lab equipments and some teachers should have given more guidance to the students. - Frequency of exams and difficulty level was good. No complaints about that.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement commity is good, there is a dedicated department for campus placement for students depending upon the course you chose if you take Btech, Mtech or MCA its good but if you take M.Sc you have to struggle for placement and even if you get placement you hace to struggle with the package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is updated and is on par with central universities. The curriculum is relevant if you want to make your career in research. More distinct and relevant additional electives could be incorporated into the curriculum as some aren't as relevant as they used to be.
