Remarks

First I gave Neet exam, You need to pass the exam and clear the cutoff to take admitted to DY Patil Medical College, Kolhapur. The cutoff is not too high, it remains between 200-300 because of the high fee structure. So it makes it easy to take admission to this college. After giving the neet exam you have to take part in counselling, This college is deemed a college so you have to apply for that counselling. If your name gets selected, then they will send you an approval letter and will call you in college for verification.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My Interest was in Biology, so I selected the medical field. And after that, I took admitted to DY Patil Medical College, Kolhapur. There is a batch of 150 students in our college. And per subject, there are 8-10 teachers. Teachers are highly qualified and they are very good in nature. Most of The teachers are from Kolhapur only. Talking about exams, our college conducts Four-time exams in a year, Two times internal examinations, One-time Prelims & one-time Finals at the end of the year. There is an annual type of examination.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of our college is too high, i.e 2050000 per year and for the full course, it is 92 lakh, which is a huge amount. Hostel fees are 10000 & mess fees are 25000. And for buying journals you have to pay more for that. Our college provides internships in our own DY Patil hospital. But there is no stipend given. So looking at fees, value for money becomes very less.

Campus Life

2.5

The annual fest is conducted each year, but in the last 3 years, no fest is conducted due to the COVID pandemic. Many different books by different authors are kept in the library and journals we have to purchase for each subject. Study hall & Reading hall are separately made in college and hospital respectively. They are open 24/7 hrs. Talking about the classroom, there is a projector in the classroom, unfortunately, they are non-Ac classrooms. Biometric attendance is done in each lecture. For sports, a small cricket ground is made, there are not many sports activities. My friends are members of some groups like the Rotaract club, etc.
