Remarks
After intermediate, we have to write eamcet and get a suitable rank nearly below 6000 to get a seat in this university in a good course. The counseling dates and application dates are given on the EAPCET official website. Reservations based on caste and subcaste are present. Sometimes the counseling results would be late but it would be good if they are given early.
Course Curriculum Overview
Civil engineering is one of the best courses in the university with experienced and talented faculty. The faculty of this course is more compared to the other branches. All the faculty are selected through interviews which are taken by highly qualified faculty members. Most of the faculty graduated from IITs and NITS. Mid-exams are conducted every month and the semester papers are a bit difficult. So textbooks must be read in order to pass with good grades.
Internships Opportunities
Many private companies provide internship opportunities. Some companies provide stipend for doing the internship along with a certificate of merit and participation. There a compulsion to do an internship so every student completes an internship. These internships are referred by faculty itself.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for getting the placements from the 2nd semester of their 3rd year. Companies such as L&T, TCS, and cognizant offer campus placements. The highest package is around 10 to 12 lakhs, almost 50 percent of the students get placed every year and the others search for govt jobs.
Fees and Financial Aid
All the students whose parents are employed with government jobs need to pay the college fee of 10000/- as well as the hostel fee( nearly 20000/- per annum). The students whose parents are not government employees are availed with JVD and are not needed to pay the tuition fee but need to pay the hostel fee. Many other private scholarships are also provided such as srujana Vani. Some professors offer assistance jobs with a stipend of about 5000/-.
Campus Life
Recently a tech and cultural fest AURORA-2022 was organized in the month of may by the students of Andhra university with the help of the management. All books, journals, and papers are available in libraries related to all subjects. Classrooms are provided with good infrastructure and a seminar Hall is also present which is an electronic classroom. Extracurricular activities are conducted such as sports and cultural events. Clubs such as EDUMOON are launched by students and are running successfully.
