Remarks

No entrance exam for diploma, cut-off needed for admission in 2019 was around ~67% for open category, the application form was filled in the office after submitting the required legal documents to the college, Rs.600 was charged for the application, No reservation benefits availed (because of OPEN category), No improvement needed as per the admission process as of now.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course curriculum wasn't top-notch, but it was focused on clearing students' doubts and will be considered as fine, faculty members were fine but not as qualified as expected to teach students in high quality, 16:1 faculty-student ratio, I chose Mechanical Engineering to pursue my dreams in design engineering which was perfect for me, teaching method was normal reading books and explaining the same (not anything special or out of the box), Team exams were held at 3 hours duration and subjects like maths and physics were not so easy to pass.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the semester 6th, students were eligible for applying placements (diploma mandatory rules), companies like TATA Steel, MotherSon Automotive Technologies, and GE Aviation, Visited and the estimated number of offers made was around 20, the highest package was offered by MotherSons Automotive Technologies from 18K per month and the average packages wiggle between 10-12K a month. Around 20% of students were successfully placed and 15% were able to pass the 6th semester to work for the companies. After my diploma, I'll continue my studies by applying for B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Fees and Financial Aid

So the fees charged for academic purposes were Rs.70000/year, but categories like SC, ST, TFWS, and OBC had an opportunity to apply for scholarships provided by the government to all those categories, I didn't have a chance to apply for one because of OPEN category, I didn't apply for placements because of pursuing higher studies but the average stipend offered to diploma graduates was around 12K.

Campus Life

4

The annual fest was conducted in late 2019 called 'The Ignite' where there were various opportunities provided as per the votes data by students from various fields, availability of books was good and various interesting subjects were covered as well, Amenities provided in classrooms were basic but for special subjects for designing (like Solid Modelling and Additive Manufacturing, Mechanical Working Measurements) Computerised classrooms were provided, the campus was big so all good sports facilities were provided but not available because of restrictions and schedule, WhatsApp unofficial groups were run by students for clearing various doubts and questions.

Other Applied Colleges

KK Wagh College of Agriculture | Diploma

Because the cut-off for this college was higher than the percentage I scored in my 10th standard

Course Curriculum Overview:

Has to say the curriculum doesn't prepares you well enough for the real world application or for academic pursuits they doesn't provide enough. The frequency of exams is good and difficulty is moderate there should be more industrial engagement to the course more practical knowledge or industrial knowledge has to be given.

The faculties must be trained just a bit tad more so that the students could learn more or atleast they could express what they are trying to indulge to the students. Cleaner washrooms is a necessity.
