Remarks

It was a centralized admission process for admission purposes. NATA exam was compulsory for taking admission to the architecture field. The cut-off was around 120, and as I had put S.B Patil College of Architecture and Design in first preference it got alloted in the first list.

Course Curriculum Overview

The term exams are during Oct/Nov and Apr/May. A technical paper like TOS is very difficult to pass if your concepts about structure designing are not clear. Also, In the case of the Design exam, it is difficult to manage every requirement within a short span of time.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 65000 per year

Internships Opportunities

We are given an internship period in our 9th semester where we have to submit our portfolio & CV to different architecture firms. If they like our work they call us for an interview and in this process they hire us.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is good almost similar to various colleges of architecture. And yes we do get scholarships if we lie in different caste categories, where every year we have to fill out a form to get it.

Campus Life

Cultural event occurs around the end of the year i.e December with lots of activities. The library is stocked with plenty of books with good information. Classrooms are big and well ventilated also E-learning is provided.

Perfect infrastructure but more experience faculty needed

The reason i choose architecture because it fascinates me how a place can be developed into holistic place interests me . The curriculum has some good inputs but it doesn't make you industry ready extra efforts should be taken to learn advance softwares extra classes newer research etc discussion on advance technology becomes important in modern age how architecture is changing is not discussed

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exam is twice a semester and good enough. Guest lectures are good and helpful for the future preparation.There must be a change in teaching styles of the faculty and more site based experiments through the course for better understanding than only in class studies , the beauty of historical buldings made me wonder about this course

Designing dreams at DYPCET

Placement Experience:

For architecure departments, usually there are no placements, but since this Institute is autonomous, they have startes conducting placements drive. Last year 10/12 students were placed in good firms all over banglore, pune, kolhapur. I plan on applying to different firms all over Maharashtra and would also hope to get placement via college since the packages that are offered are good. Placement percentage is anywhere between 12-15%. The highest package offered was around 5,40,000, average package for a architecture student would be-around 3lakhs.

Placement Experience:

There is no campus placement for architecture students. After completion of the degree, one can apply for jobs or opt for masters. Architects get an average starting salary of 20-25 thousand. The course is pretty expensive including college fees and printing prices. One can also open a private firm and earn enough money. There are very few open students getting placed. My plans after getting a degree are to apply for masters. For a teaching job, one must complete masters.

The campus of the college is good. It has a separate building allotted to architecture, having all amenities.
