Acropolis BSc Biotech course review

The course eligibility for Bachelors in Science in the subject Biotechnology with the combination of Microbiology is above 55 percentage of higher secondary marks for securing a seat. As well the college provides three combinations of courses in its B.Sc. Biotechnology with Microbiology, Pharmaceutical and Computer Science according to students' choice. The application form is filled online at M.P. Online by the student itself and it also takes the amount of 500 rupees, this is the application fee to fill the admission form and then we should update this information from the Online portal to the college and submit all the official and legal documents at the college in offline mode by visiting theirs. No reservation benefits are given in admission it purely takes place on the basis of percentage and admission criteria standards. Improvement in the admission process is directly connected to explaining the fees and instalments to students properly to avoid any inconvenience.

I am a PCB, Biology background student and always wanted to join the field of biology so I saw a very good career opportunity for me as a biotechnology scientist during this pandemic there was so much importance of biotechnology experts for the research and development sector. I think Acropolis college is providing us with all those required things in the course that we can implement our biological sciences for good purpose. The student-faculty ratio is up to the mark that is 1:10 students. A teacher is mostly available to 10 students or a group of students for academics. Faculty are highly professional and qualified in their respective expert subjects. Teachers are M.Sc. Microbiologists, Chemistry and M.Sc. computer science completed also. The HOD and the senior assistant professor are also PhD and Doctorate in Microbiology as also a member of Microbiologists Society India. Teachers are helpful and lenient in nature. Teaching method through presentation and notes. Exams are held once a year.

Companies like Amazon have offered 2 months of internships to bachelor's degree students having basic criteria for eligibility having good communication in English and speaking skills. Provided 10,000 stipends based on the performance. Major projects include the plant tissue culture or horticulture techniques for students to learn and something new and phytochemical analysis internship provided by the college to us Biotechnology students. Minor projects like bioinformatics and disease studies and research paper studies enhance our knowledge and also that can acquaint the students with hands-on experience.

From the pre-final year or third semester, students become eligible for the campus selection and placements process. Firstly college manages some life skill training programs to make students industry ready. Softskill and communication classes are taken by the career development cell of our college. Aptitude and test preparation to qualify preliminary round is guided by faculty. Interviews are scheduled by Department for selected with multiple rounds of different companies. Companies offer placements bare Google, Amazon, cognizant, Biocon, byjus, Lupin, Sun-pharma, Deloitte, etc. To the students in campus placements. The highest package providing is 48 lakhs and the lowest package is 3 lakhs per annum. Around 60% of the total students of the batch got placed on their placement. My plan after getting a degree is to start my own start-up.

The fee structure is divided into three instalments and lump-sum fees are a total of 57000 rupees. Cost to study includes tuition fees, bus fees, and hostel fees if anyone is shifted to Indore for studies that average marks the fees hike policy above 70000 rupees. A job like data analysis, sorting and event management in college provides volunteering certificates and stipend up to 5000 Rupees to the students.

The annual fest is celebrated as an annual function among all the Acropolis group of institutions including management and engineering departments together. Tech fest names BAJA for Mechanical engineering students organized at the state level. LitFest is the literature festival organised including inquisitive sessions about literature, fiction, Web series, documentaries and many more. There is a huge library on the college campus known as a treasure trove, including all types of academic books on all subjects and renowned authors like RD Sharma, and SK Dubey. Newspapers, generals and novels are also available for curricular reading. Amenities of the classroom like proper benches and desks and a comfortable Air conditioning environment with wide halls and windows. Sports activities happen once in a year but basketball and football are played daily and many of the achievements are won also. There is an Entrepreneurship awareness group in college that is run by student leaders and faculty for innovative ideas.
