Remarks

The admission process is very simple. Like any other college in the city, KCG also has the same admission process. You can get admission either through anna university or counseling or through the management quota. If you want to get admission through the management quota you have to visit the college once and visit the department in which you want to get enrolled and get the admission form from the administration office. Some of my classmates also avail of SC/ST scholarship for which you have to contact the administration for more details.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Like any other student, I was determined to choose to engineer as technology always makes me fascinated. I was particular about choosing EEE as it always contributes a lot to technology growth and we control the energy which no one can see. Faculties in my department are well knowledged in current technologies and are always available for students. We also get mentoring for various project competitions from our faculties and have won and moved on to many phases ahead. We have 2 assessment tests, 1 model practical and 1 model exam for which we get question papers from outside the college to fuel our brain with many methods to solve an answer.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

In our 2nd year, we got internship opportunities from many software companies. We even get opportunities to attend in-plant training in various core companies, which comes in our 3rd year. We also participate in various project competitions and get a chance to work as an intern in their company.

Placement Experience

4.5

Traditional campus placement methods begin in the middle of the 6th semester. However, we get training from the first year. I also know students who even got internship opportunities from software companies even in their second year. Mostly, software companies visit the campus a lot when compared to core companies. But these days, core companies' visits to our campus have also increased, and we have signed MoUs with many core and software companies. Annually, more than 90% of the students get placed and the average package is around 3.5 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you join through the management quota, your fee will be around 1.7L and if you join through counseling, it would be around 1L and 25-30K for the bus fee. In my class, some of my classmates have availed themselves of the SC/ST scholarship that the college provides. We also have alumni sponsorship. I'm currently a pre-final year student who is waiting for my campus placement, which will start in the month of August. Many of my batchmates who attended the Java training have got placed with 7-9L CTC with an internship stipend of 20k.

Campus Life

5

Our college has a very good ambiance with a lake and a lot of trees surrounded by it. The green campus is one of the best things about KCG. We also get a chance to communicate with people from all over India since we have students from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. We have a zeppelin, an inter-departmental cultural event every year, and celebrities from the entertainment industry would be invited. We also have a symposium for each and every department, and we also have many events for various occasions. We also have a digital library and smart classrooms. Participating in various sports events is supported by KCG. We also have many sports quota students in our college who take part in various events and have won many prizes. We also have various extracurricular and technical clubs like Rotaract, English literary club, dance club, music club, programming club, etc.

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.
