Remarks

College management totally focuses on gaining profits, do not understand the problems of the students whether a student is in financial problem or any other problem. would not suggest to take help from college management. However, the candidate is advised to be in touch with some good staff, which he/she has to find themselves as they browse throughout the college and their staff.

Entrance Preview

The college do not require any kind of entrance exam to take admission in their colleges. Although, there are some stipulations such as minimum marks in 10th and 12th must be atleast 45-50%, and or sometimes it is possible that a particular course may require any subject as compulsory in class 12. Even in Masters courses a candidate can freely get admission without any exam or entrance test. Even the college do not conduct any test to give admission in their college. It is good to choose BCA because the course is very simple and you can qualify easily. You will not have to study later at home, simple college learning is sufficient to pass the exams. You will hence, have sufficient time and extra time to learn any other things such as you can learn various certificate courses, or take coaching classes for any future higher studies , or even you can do a part time job. I chose this college because nearby, only this college has very flexibility such as no strictness on Uniforms , students can enter and leave the college campus whenever they want, any many more which the student can experience only when they actually are in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

If we talk about the course, earlier it was believed by the students that the course has many things which are not important or are put in the course just to make it large. Although with the time it had been realized that each and every subject taught in the BCA course is very very important and that learning of those subjects and learning the complete course would make an individual very learned. BCA can be compared to other engineering courses such as B.Tech. The course is designed in such a way that student can also set up their technical business in future. Also, a fresher candidate can gain higher posts in their jobs very quickly, this is because he had been taught all the required subjects, along with the practical learning skills. The course do not focus on research, so anyone thinking of going to this college with a future of research purpose , please do not waste your time here.

Internships Opportunities

The college in earlier years, do not provided any kind of internship to graduating students on their behalf. Students had to do internships on their own. From this year, since the staff had been changed and some good people have been appointed, the college has started providing internships to students in UG courses also. They provide certificates for doing internships. The time duration of internships is about 5-6 weeks. Expenses totally depend on the company, time duration, and other factors. However, with the help of internships, students are made aware about the real world happenings and they learn about the projects which are actually required in the real world. Earlier, it was all bookish learning, but with the internships, students gain practical knowledge. But overall, college provide poor internships. One recent example is of IBM providing internships to students.

Placement Experience

3.5

there are a lot of companies providing recruitment drives to students. I really love that so many companies are showing up. We started getting recruitment drives since 5th semester. Around 1-12 companies for each students. In other words, one student had opportunity to sit in around 10-12 recruitment drives. The companies were both technical as well as non technical. Mostly the technical companies wanted very very talented students, but since the learning was not so practical, there are very less chances of getting a technical student placed in a technical company. Although a technical student have a lot of chances of being placed in a non-technical company. Some famous companies such as Amazon, Wipro, Deloitte, TCS, Robosapeins etc had taken students from the college. The average package given by a non technical company was from 2.2 Lacs to 2.5 Lacs per anum. Some technical companies gave 3.0 lacs - 4.0 lacs per anum. One company came I dont remember the name, gave 15 lacs per anum to freshers.

College Events

1

College organises various technical as well as non technical events, cultural events and Farewell of course. Technical events are conducted in which various technical games such as events related to computer coding are conducted. Participants are given certificates and winners are given prizes. Same happens in non technical events also. Although there are not much events organised. Annual function and farewell are conducted every year. From this year onwards, the college has started the Convocation, in which the reunion of passed out students is observed. Overall, the college in case of events is very poor. I would not suggest to even go to any event, because there are a lot of problems such as events sometimes gets cancelled due to insufficient number of registrations. Dates get changed, events start very late etc. Annual function is good and farewell is average. Students are charged for every event they participate in and a compulsory fee is charged from students for annual function and farewell.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee of BCA is very feasible. They provide computer labs. The overall fee is very less for BCA. In other colleges, the fee for BCA is very expensive. Fee for BCA is Rs. 17500 per semester with a total of 6 semesters. However the fee is increasing every year and this year it has reached to Rs. 60000 per semster with a total of 6 semsters. Also it is possible that next year fee may increase again. College charges additional fee of Rs. 14000 per year for transportation. However this transportation fee is reasonable but the facility of transportation is very poor. Cannot surely say that fee maybe stable or may be increasing again. But if the fee increases, then it is not feasible because the facilities provided are not getting better as compared to fee increasing every year. Since there is a lot of difference between the value of BCA degree and a B.Tech degree, the fee must be also very different of both the courses. College imposes fine on every small mistakes made by students, if they are caught bunking classes, fine imposed, if they are late for classes many times, fine imposed. It had been observed that college earns mostly because of fine. The college charges exam fee also. this fee is too much as compared to facilities during exam. The copies are all recycled paper, college do not schedule exam properly also. Overall, I would not suggest to come to this college, as fee is much higher than the facilities given to students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college do not provide any loan, also, in case any student wants any legal documents from the college to get loan, the college makes sure that student is not able to get documents from the college. That is a very bad scenario. Students do not get any help to get loan for studies. The college provides some scholarships to their students such as scholarships to students who participate and win in any sports for their college, and cultural scholarships and scholarships to students who ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their class. These amounts are Rs. 20000 to first topper, Rs. 15000 to second topper and Rs. 10000 to third topper. Also, if student has been a winner or a participant in any sports in past, College provide 50% relaxation in fee. Students also get scholarships for OBC, SC/ST category students which is around Rs. 10000 per year.

Campus Life

2

Campus life is good. Good infrastructure. Includes garden, stone sculptures, a mini bazar which has variety of food items available, a stationary shop for students in huge emergency and trouble, can get minor stationary items, get their documents printed out and photo copied. The gender ratio is not much poor, although girls are obviously less than boys, but still girls are not at all less than boys. The extracurricular activities are poor, students are made to be focused on their studies. labs are good, sports grounds are not made accessible to other students except for physical education students. Neither the faculty nor students of physical education department interacts or allows others to use their ground, although students are made to pay fee for sports too. Thats a very bad impact. College do take students to competitions but very rarely. Students are made to bear their own expenses. College just takes them to competitions. No robotics, no debates and other related activities are conducted. One good thing is that people from all around the world come to this university to take education. But the sad part is that these students do face prejudice or partiality some day or the other. Many times it has been observed that girls has been tried to be harrassed by the boys, but strict actions have always been taken against them. The university is run by a Trust and so it has a political status. College has always been in advertisements in one other the other form which can be either on TV or newspapers. College has been always in the news due to various events organised. Hence the college has its own good reputation outside ignoring the fact about the actual life inside the college campus.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facility is very poor. Rooms are very small and they allot 3 students a single small room. The rooms do not even have attached toilets and bathrooms. Toilets and bathrooms are build at the other corner of the hostel building. Building infrastructure is average. Same here, hostel fee has reached to Rs. 85000 per year, and increasing every year. The rush of demand for the hostel rooms is not too much, so there are chances that in case any student is late for admission , and wants a room, he can easily get it. The girls hostel building is build at the other corner of the college campus, thats very good. Hostel do not provide good food. The food here is both veg and non veg, but the problem is everything is made in same utensils. In case student is late for food, he may have a chance of missing it because they are either not allowed late, or the food is finished. The mess is very small room. Students are not even allowed to take food to their rooms. Students are required to carry their mess cards or else no entry to them. Also, in case any other student wants to eat in hestel mess, they can but food at Rs. 50. But this price also keeps increasing in a while. Last year it was Rs. 40 per plate. Overall, the quality of food is very very bad. The complaints are not heard.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors whether they like it or not, have to be nice to their juniors. This is because juniors are taken well care of. Ragging it totally banned in college campus and never even saw ragging secretly. Seniors are hence automatically helpful, and friendly. They help juniors in placements problems and queries, projects related problems and any other problems which can be faced by students, and in case students are not comfortable to approach to faculty , they can always approach to their seniors. If we talk about alumni network, It is very poor. Students whose passed out, never tried to visit back, in my knowledge. Majority students after passing out, do not like to come back to this college.

Exam Structure

Exams are very easy to pass. Since it is a private university, students are passed easily. Exam patterns keeps on changing with a motto that there can be a way of conducting exams so that students actually learn and not just prepare to simply pass the exams. I like this part of university because they keep trying to make students learn through various exam patterns such as practical exams, activity based testing etc. Labs in the college are good, computer labs are equipped with good hardware and software and are available to students all the time. Although the main problem in college computers is Virus. College do not have sufficient projectors because they are required too much in computer labs. Lab assistant are very poor, do not have much knowledge, I dont know why they got a job there. But students can access the computer lab without any problems. Overall computer labs are great.

Faculty

1.5

The faculty here is not much interested in research and in case any willing student approaches to them with the same motto, those students are not well treated or well entertained. The faculty is merely concerned about their job security and they are not even interested in teaching anything outside the syllabus. however some faculty is kind enough to teach you stuff outside the syllabus also, in case any student is interested in any other things such as research, they can approach to such faculty. But majority is teaching all the old course, with no updates in information. The main problem here is that any faculty is assigned any subject irrespective of the question that whether that particular faculty is able to teach that particular subject or not. Hence, overall the faculty assignment is poor.

There average package is around 250000 lacks to 300000 lacks. There tie up is with Amazon Flipkart and TCS and many more but they aren't able to give placements in these companies
