Entrance Preview
UPMCAT, I scored 267 ranks and people suggested me to get into LUMBA (popularly known as). I had a great experience, studying at LUMBA. Firstly, i cleared written exam then gone through GD round and then after qualified the personal interview round.
Course Curriculum Overview
4 semesters with 32 subjects in all. My specialization was in Finance & Control. We were taught almost all aspects of management study with great emphasis on case studies and presentation.
Internships Opportunities
I did my internship at Karvy and there was no internship offered. Possibly, i think in India, rarely companies offer the internship stipend, though i may wrong. Internship experience was also good but as we were only doing internship, so was not allowed to get access of most of the company docs, as they were quite confidential.
Placement Experience
I got placement from the institute itself. Got offer from three organisations out of which i choose one from Lucknow itself and started my professional journey from there only. 57% was total placement from my batch and around 15 companies came to our institute. Average Package was around 2.5 lacs per annum. Not too good, but was happy to get placed.
College Events
We participated in several management festivals and college festivals. Oasis was one of them. We had a body called SAC (students activity cell), which was responsible of conducting all these events and i was an active member of this SAC. It was quite big as almost all of the 260 students were supposed to participate in this fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It was very feasible as it was the govt. institution so was ofcourse subsidized. We paid only INR 64000 only to complete our entire management programme.
Fees and Financial Aid
Though i`ve not availed any loan facility but many of my batchmates were taken the loan facility from PNB. It was educational loan so interest rate was not too high but reasonable.
Campus Life
Well, in campus life, we get the experience more from out side the class rather inside the class. So, campus life is too exciting. In MBA programme, we interact with many batchmates with different streams of education like Arts, commerce, science, humanities etc.
Hostel Facilities
Not too good but was okay as per govt. institute`s hostels. Rooms were small with dual sharing basis though quite inexpensive, like 400 rs. per month and mess was also quite cheap, though food was not too qualitative.
Alumni/Alumna
So far, there is no alumni meet as such and we expect soon as we are trying to get together very soon. As far as, seniors are concerned, we are not very well connected with them expect a few.
Exam Structure
Semester system was there and it was not too hectic nor too chill. was okay type. Classes were supposed to start by 7 am and till 2 pm. In between lots of activities were planned. So not boring at all. we enjoyed a lot.
Faculty
That was really great and all experienced faculties. Though infrastructure was not so sound but as far as faculty is concerned, it was really superb. Infact, some of them were adhoc faculties which were also involved at IIM, Lucknow as well. So, overall great experience.
