By jee main. Also by ojee. Exam conducted by AICTE jee main and exam conducted by Odisha government ojee for lateral entry. My rank was 5lakhs something and I got into college easily. The application form was given on the campus and also can apply online.

The course curriculum is good properly managed In 1st year you will learn all basics stuffs like basic civil electrical mechanical and mechanics The best thing about this college is its maths teacher you will fall in love with maths subjects. It's not that others are bad but maths is great and others are also good it's just personal preference.

5th sem eligibility for placement TCS WIPRO Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Avg package:- 4.8 lakhs, Highest package:- 8 lakhs. Almost 80% of students get placed every year. I have decided to do higher studies in cs either ms or MTech in CSE.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is not too high or too low it's decent. The scholarship opportunities in this college are great you get to apply to multiple scholarship programs both by the government of odisha and the centrel government. Some of the scholarship programs which one can apply are :- Post metric scholarship Odisha, E-Medhabruti scholarship Odisha, NSOL scholarship Odisha, E-Kalyan scholarship. Campus placement is good

There are many clubs and good clubs are there like robotics coding and many more. Name of the annual fest is ZREYAS not conducted due to management issues. All books are available in library. A coding club is run by 6-7th semester students

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42.
