Remarks
The college was having good infrastructure with plenty of grass area.However non availablity of hostel facility was badly needed to accomodate the outsiders. The faculty was rich in teaching experience and management was very cooperative in resolving thr issues. Extra classes were frequently organised for revision of course.
Entrance Preview
After passing the Senior Secondary Exam with First Class, direct admissio was offered by the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was comprehensive covering subjects Accountancy, Taxation law, commercial and labour law, business oganisation, maths and statistics. After passing the examinations, I was able to pass chartered accountancy and company secretaries examinations, as the teaching explained me the fundamentals of the subjects.
Internships Opportunities
There was no provision for providing internship. However some institutions like ICAI used to visit regularly the college guiding the students to opt for professional courses.
Placement Experience
There was no placement from the college side. However many students joined the civil services and few of the students opt for further studies by taking professional courses. some students opted for post graduation courses from the same university and a couple os students went for doctrate.
College Events
Outside faculty used to visit the college for special lectures particulary about the functioning of management of enterprises.We used to visit commercial extablishments for having some practical knowledge. Yearly cultural programmes were held which was attended by about 2000 persons.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didnot availed any loan or scholarship. However few scholarship were available for needy students and also few loan with and without interest bearing.
Campus Life
The college was having only male students (100%). Extra curricular activities included debates on live issues, tree plantation. Various sports activities like cricket, volleyball, chess etc were availble and good no of students (about 60-70%) used to avail these facilities.
Alumni/Alumna
There was no alumni in the college, However, I understand that now some efforts are going for reating alumni network.
Exam Structure
The examination were on yearly basis. There were 3 mid term exams, which were not considered for claculating the final marks. There was no lab, although good library was there. The temperature used to be normal and pleasant atmosphere with no airconditioning.
Faculty
The faculty of the college was excellent in comparison to other colleges of the city. Most of the faculty members were good authors of various books and were presentor of papers at various conferences. Particularly faculties teaching accountancy, income tax law and statistics was excellent one.
