Remarks

The college management during my recent visit in 2015 was good but still have to be up to the mark. But when compared to the management during my academic time the present management looked far better and optimistic.

Entrance Preview

I took EAMCET 2007 and i got 74498 Rank in the state. I opted for this college as the campus was vast and education was accompanied by regular extra curricular activities along side theoretical and practical demonstration of the subject.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is good as the college is affiliated to Andhra University. But the frequent change of faculties during the semester caused in theoretical and practical fields adaptation issues. But the curriculum was an effective one with large library facility.

Internships Opportunities

As a part of the summer internship program we were permitted to be placed at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant LMM section for a period of 45 days where we learn about the operational and managerial aspects of that section also gave a seminar on what we learnt to the LMM Dept head and our Dept HOD.

Placement Experience

0.5

During our study period we did not receive and placements though the placement cell and the placement officer gave us many notifications regarding the off campus activities being held in the city and around. The junior batched joined recently are being allotted to some on campus placements the success rate for which is still not known to me through my internal contacts.

College Events

4.5

During the year 2008, our department formed an association called SEA - Sanketika Electrical Association hence there were other dept also which formed the same and every year we celebrated this formation of the association by inviting all college in the city and conducting FEST and MELA together with technical and non technical activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure during my study period 2007-2011 was flexible and i only have to pay the first year fee as the remaining years were paid by the government as scholarship. But the remaining fee like the examination fee, university fee etc were to be paid by us and face problems when there were due.

Fees and Financial Aid

My fee from second year onward was paid by the government and also was availed with the other scholarship of the same type from the government. The college management never gave us the facility to avail any scholarships from the college management end.

Campus Life

5

As for every student the college life was awesome with load of fun and maza. The gender ration was also maintained good. We were 66 until first year and 66+6 (Lateral Entries) and the ration was maintained at 1:1. The extra curricular activities were also good which included industry visits, labs with practical sessions, cricket, volley ball, shuttle, throw ball, running races, FESTs with technical debates and discussions, paper presentations etc

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I was a day scholar candidate so did not know well about the college hostel and food. But the guys in the class who were from hostel advised a lot of the other guys to be careful in choosing the hostel facility and more with the food type being served in the facility.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior student were of a lot of help to us and they gave us the support needed in getting up to a benchmark in terms of the keeping up the departmental spirit and emotions. The alumni network was recently crated in the college website and the first alumni get together is yet to be conducted by the management.

Exam Structure

The examination structure was a bit tough one as the college was affiliated to the toughest universities of the state. The andhra university examination pattern was of regular type where there were no intermediate days allotted for the preparation for the consecutive examinations. The only relief/day break we got during the examination was when it was a sunday or second saturday sunday.

Faculty

2.5

During the initial days of my study say the first year and second tear first semester i observed the faculty to be very young in the field of teaching and they struggled to clear our doubts as well as the application of practical knowledge during theory explanation. But late as we went to third year the management changed the entire faculty and the it resulted in good pass out percentage.
