Padmini Sahu's Review On Shri Shankaracharya College Of Nursing, Bhilai

I had given CG B.Sc nursing exam. I scored 2000 rank in it. I chose this college because i was only nursing college near my home and Shri Shankara College have many braches all over chhattisgarh.

I am in second year of college and companies come for interview in 3rd or 4th year but i know that only local hospitals of that are come for interview.

Placement is good. My sister who is in 4th year in same college told me that nearly 40 % of students passed interview and selected for jobs. I am in second year and companies come for interview in 3rd or 4th year.

Annual day is celebrated in college every year on month of December and teachers day is also celebrated by students. Some cultural programs are held in college regularly in different occasions.

Fee of college is ok. It is quite expensive as compared to some other nursing colleges but classrooms are neat and well furnished. Corridor are also neat and clean.

Only government scholarship is provided. College does not provide any scholarship to students who are good in studies.

We have to spent 5 hours in college and then 4 hours on duty on hospital nearby. Some cultural programs are held in college. Sports competitions were held in a college once in a year.

I have gone hostel many times. It is good but rooms are small. Taste of food is bad. College also have small canteen. But they only sell samosa and other oily food.

Seniors students are good in behavior. They are helpful. They help in project work if you ask them. We have to call them sir or madam.i have never heard about ragging or such activities in our college.

labs are good and equipped with good quality materials. Tests are held regularly. Labs are small in area. Overall i can say labs are good. Weekly test are held regularly.

The college campus is not very large. Faculty members are ok. Some teachers are not very good in behavior but overall its ok. Teachers are highly qualified and well experienced.
