Graduation from MIT

The admission process was pretty much easier for me. A basic interview followed by a basic counseling session and after that general procedure of form filling. Eligibility criteria for this course were 60%+ in high school and intermediate. I was from the general category, so I didn't get any reservation benefits. Counseling procedures must improve for students who are in the middle of finding the best and right course for them.

The overall course curriculum was good, I opted for Electrical engineering because I already wanted to pursue my future in the electrical field as I always liked electrical machines. The faculty students ratio was (1:10), for every 10 students 1 faculty. And the teaching methods were also good and the faculty was friendly in nature. All the faculty members were Mtech and Ph.D. holders. They all were well-educated and knowledgeable people. We were supposed to take class tests every month (i.e. 3 series of class tests followed by a semister exam) and was pretty much difficult as all the test were taken as per the university guidelines (AKTU).

Campus placement is average. Quite a handful of companies visit our campus for placement but the overall placement experience is average. In my graduation period, the majority of students were placed in companies like TCS, HCL, Microsoft, and some other small companies. Approx 65 to 70% of students got college placement. The fee Structure was fixed. There was no fee hike policy. For grade holder students there was a scholarship depending on their grades. And for students who come under reservation criteria, there was a state scholarship also which a student have to apply in order to take benefit of that scholarship. The scholarship was one and only the financial assistance which students get. But overall fee Structure was budgetary.

Every 2 years, the college organizes a fest "Utkarsh", which is held in the college campus on a grand scale. Besides Utkarsh, yearly feat takes place along with sports fest, science exhibition, Robo race and Robo wars, bridge making competition, debate competition, Nukkad Natak, caricature competition, and so on. Our central library was full of all kinds of books and novels, I didn't find any shortage during my graduation. All the classrooms are spacious and ventilated. All the seminar rooms and GD rooms are fully air-conditioned. Sports are given priority after the studies. Each department has its own society along with a hobbies club, literary club, and so on. And all these clubs are organized by students only.
