For taking admission you can directly approach the college management, There is not any entrance exam mandatory for this course ( according to DGCA i.e. regulations body of AME). There are not any reservation benefits in this course. Because of no genuine entrance exam. Very weak students tame admission in this course. It can be better with the entrance exam.
Course Curriculum Overview
This course is for Two years including 2 months of practical training. In college, there are 4 semesters of 6 months. The faculty is excellent and there are fully equipped labs and also a Learjet 25B aircraft is available in college. There are 30 students in one class. And college can have a maximum of 2 batches of 30 students. Personal who are retired from the Navy and Air force are hired as instructors in college, they have vast practical experience. And some of them also worked in the commercial aviation field, so there is no issues about quality of teachers. Monthly exam are taken in college but more important are semester exam which are taken every 6 months in course duration. The difficulty of the exam is moderate an average student can pass with a little smart work. And students are required to maintain 75% marks in order get pass.
Internships Opportunities
Placements provided by colleges are very limited. Students have to seek jobs on their own. Students can look for jobs in all private airlines and helicopter services organizations or flying clubs all over India and foreign. It all depends on your experience. But college helps you to get on the job training in any organization they are tied with. And that is chargeable. I did training in HAL in Kanpur.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
When i took admission in 2019 fee per semester was 75000 INR but now in 2021 it has been increased to 90000 per semester. Also there is 25000 admission fees and 5000 Rs per year for library and 60000 Ra are taken for practical training (only once) . College has a tie up with financekeeper so students can also pay a fee in instalments but I wouldn't recommend that. And good scoring students are also given yearly scholarships by Tata trusts. Students can check their website tatatrust.org for scholarship information.
Campus Life
Campus life is amazing. There are students from all over India. Students get a lot of exposure and enjoyment. Fests are organized very frequently in college. At least 13 to 15 fests are organized in 1 year and also there is freshers party in college. Available of books is average in college, everyone can take books from the library easily. Also, there is a facility to study in the library. Classrooms are equipped with a projector and well ventilated. There are various sports activities are organized in college like badminton, cricket, football, kabaddi and many more. Students don't get bored while studying.
Hostel Facilities
Students are given choice they can select a 3 seater or a 4 seater room. Each student gets a separate bed and closet. Rooms are equipped with fans and wifi. Laundry service is also provided to students. Each room has a balcony. Different food is provided every day. And snacks are also given in the morning and evening. The quality of food is 8 out of 10. Registration for a hostel is optional for students. But I would recommend living in PG than hostel because it is cheaper and students can get more flexible with time. Near college, there are plenty of private properties where students can take rooms.
