Acropolis review on Biotechnology course

I applied in two colleges. One is Holkar College and the second is the Acropolis Institute. I take admission in Acropolis college because this is the best and renowned college in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. I did not apply for any quota for admission. I have taken a gap for 1 year. The admission criteria of my program is very smooth and good. I met the Head of the Department of Biosciences, for the course Bachelors of Science in Biotechnology with the additional subject Computer Science. After the course inquiry, I visited the whole campus on the counseling day with the faculty. Met the staff of Acropolis, I really felt good and wow visiting the college. Environment and the nature-friendly campus of acropolis. The minimum marks for admission in my program is above 45%. Me and my parents were so satisfied with this college visit and counseling day process.

I opted for the course Bachelors of Science in Biotechnology, Computer Science and Chemistry. I chose this course because I am so interested in it. I am so interested in learning coding and programming. In our college, C and C++ programming languages are part of my course. Fundamentals of programming help us in our future and academics. A brief about faculty-student ratio is 1:15 in the section. All the teachers are highly qualified and Ph.D. or Doctorate in their field of specialization or expertise in particular theses subjects. Teachers are very much helpful and cooperative with all students. Also, give one-to-one attention to each student. They are the best faculty and best teaching method. Exams take place once in a year by the schedule of exams declared by the university.

Wipro, Sun Pharma like companies offers internships in our college. The internship period is about 1 month to 6 month duration. Internships are available in the academic year. We can join internship as digital marketing , research paper analyst, HR, graphic designer, lab technician, science lab operator, etc. These are the roles offered in our college. Projects we work under are related to government authorized department of Biotechnology, Manav: The human atlas initiative, this consists the annotations, sorting and reading of scientific research paper. Our teachers helps us to complete this project. There are also minor and major projects to submit per year.

Students become eligible for campus placements from their final year that is their third year in our program. Companies like Wipro, Lupin pharmaceuticals, Biocon, Sun Pharma, etc. visit and come to our college to offer placements and jobs. Industrial visits and new scientific visits take place two or three times a year. The highest package provides is 45000 per month and the average package starts from 20000 rupees per month in jobs offered in campus selection. Students get placed in companies ranging from 67% - 80% percentage. My plans after getting the degree from this college are to get a job and a financially stable job and earn a secure income.

The fee is 55000 rupies in amount of B.Sc. Biotech course per year. The course completes in three years. We can pay fees in three installments and also full fees once in a year. There are scholarships for students. Scholarships are provided in the basis of marks or percentage secured by the studnet in 12th exams. Minority and central government schemes of providing scholarships is also available. Financial assistance is provided to all the students for our fees and financial stability. We got internships and small jobs in our campus with and without stipend. Different programs have different opportunities. We get Certificate after completion of jobs or Internship on the basis of performance.

Aannual fest organized in our college are Entrepreneurial summit, Indore network panel discussion in January-February, Literature Festival in September month, Dental hygiene and Mental health awareness camp in October month and also our college organize career orientation session, Donation Drive for helping poor children every year. Institutions Innovation Council, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Rotaract club of Acropolis professionals, YuvAcro: the social and youth development cell, Litmus: the literary and music club, Green cell: environmental care club, Solaris and Manav club for scientific research and development all are driven by students in campus. There are lots of opportunities in this collage. Classrooms are open and airy , air conditioning and fans are available. Extra curricular activities takes place every week and we take part in various sporting activities and insightful libraries are full with novels, journals, syllabus, research papers and many interesting books.
