Entrance Preview
I gave CAT and scored 69%ile. I chose this college as the infrastructure was nice, had nice faculties. I was among top 3 MBA college in Bhubaneswar. The fee structure included most of the student expenses like books, mess, hostel room and other facilities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure was very nicely designed as the specialisation was assigned from the beginning of the course. Special emphasis was given to the new trends in Banking Insurance and Finance field. This has helped the students to learn the industry skills and latest trends in the market to have a sound understanding of the corporate by the time they graduated.
Internships Opportunities
I don't have any information on the internship. This has to be checked from the college. You may call the college phone number. The number is provided in the college website.
Placement Experience
There were number of companies visited the campus during the placement season. To name a few were GATI, SBI Life, S&P, Max Life, Karvy Broker, L&T. There was a maintained placement cell which helped students to prepare for the interview and follow up with the companies.
College Events
There were Alumni meet, Mark fest, Music fest, Fresher's day Quiz, Seminars by industry experts. Over all it was a nice experience, only thing it lacked was industry visit which I feel was need for a MBA school student. There was also inter college competitions during my stay with the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I feel the fee was worth the education provided by the institute. As the Books, Food expenses, Internet, Weekend transport & Stay in 2 sharing were included in the course fee. The hostel was nice to stay and food was above average. Since the per month expenses were less for students (other than the college fee). One could stay nicely for Rs.2000 a month.
Fees and Financial Aid
I was able to get loan from Allahabad Bank. Since the college is AICTE approved, so Loan was not a trouble. Scholarship was given for merit students. For further details please contact the college as I don't have the full information on scholarship.
Campus Life
Campus life is very good, as you get lot of team building opportunities. Professors help the students to choose a good career. During my batch 09-11 the ratio was 60:40. Students were from different geographical locations. (WB, Orissa, Bihar, Assam, AP, Jharkhand, Gujarat to name a few) There was space for extracurricular activities like music fest, mark fest. Lab was well equipped, had Table tennis, volleyball, badminton, gym.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel was good, 2 sharing rooms and 3 times food included in the college fee. Food was good. There was breakfast, lunch and dinner provided and the menu was shuffled. For evening snacks, there was also a coffee shop and paid canteen inside the campus. They served almost all the snacks.
Alumni/Alumna
College has a alumni meet every year which helps the students to connect and build relationships. Professors are approachable.
Exam Structure
There used to be trimesters in a year, each trimester was divided in 2. In total there were 6 exams in a year. Each trimester covered 12 papers approximately. The papers were marked total 50 marks which included 30 marks for theory and 20 marks for practical/assignments.
Admission
I had to apply via the form which was priced Rs.1000. I was called for an interview after the screening of CAT score and educational certificates. The interview happened in the college campus and was a 3 panel interview. Questions were majorly behavioural based.
Faculty
The faculties were always approachable. they had their own cabins and we could meet them any time during the working hours, We also had mentor facilities who helped us to clarify our doubts in professional career and academics. The soft skill training was also given to us to improve our overall presentation and communication skills.
