Remarks
I appeared for the UPSEE-2017 entrance exam based on its merit I applied for 5 colleges namely ABES Ghaziabad, KIET, MIET, IIMT and my college SD College of Engineering and Technology. I choose SD College instead of these because it is near to my hometown and has very good and supportive faculty who supports you through thick and thin and has been a great counsellor. During counselling based on merit, I got the desired college and was quick to grab the opportunity.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the computer science and technology branch because of my interest in the field. In my class, there were a total of 57 students out of bench strength of 60 and has a nearly equal ratio of boys to girls. The faculty was well qualified and has a very easy and catchy way of teaching and the best about faculty is that they are always ready to help whenever u ask them to. Every semester has two FA's and final semester exams and exams were easy to pass because of the efforts put in by the faculty in teaching us.
Internships Opportunities
College does not provide any internship opportunities during my time because it was very hard to get one and go somewhere as covid was on the surge and everyone was finding difficulties in getting internships.
Placement Experience
After 6 semesters students become eligible for placements and the faculty is very supportive in providing assistance. Some companies such as Cetpa, Spyder visited and hired students to train them to become eligible for industry purposes.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fee was 68500 which also included university exam fees of 8200 and there was no such thing as every year admission fees which most of the college charges. I myself got scholarship 3 times through Up government scholarship program and also there is relaxation of 10000 in fees if one got marks above 85% in intermediate.
Campus Life
The campus life at college was great there were sports events, music events nearly every month. We also appeared for Intra colleges sports meets and also music fests. The library was well equipped with nearly every book related to the curriculum one aspire to read.
