College days - Gaya college

I don't apply for any other colleges because my jee main ranking is not so much good and I only applied for this for b.tech purpose and I also applied for graduation from science College Patna ( Maths honours ) but since my first priority is b.tech so I chose b.tech opportunity. Next thing is that when I was giving the exam, at that time there are three stages of selection, first two stages are written exams and then counseling will be done on the basis of the scorecard. My bcece general ranking is 1757 and since my brother is in the same college so I preferred that I go with the same college and in this ranking, I got EEE branch and after the first year with the help of branch sliding, I go with civil engineering stream. So the selection process is as I mentioned. Now the process will change and in the current scenario, selection will be done on the basis of jee the main ranking.

I chose civil engineering because our seniors of the civil engineering stream are a better place after completion of their BTech program and also my brother guided me to go with civil engineering because there are a lot of opportunities in the government sector as well as in the private sector so I chose this. In the civil department, faculties are well qualified and dedicated professionals, their bonding with us is so strong. They taught us a lot of concepts, developed skills, and also they are very helpful, some are from IIT's and some are from nits. So overall the relationship between faculty and students is so good. Term exams used to be done on time. Difficulties level are not so high when u give your full effort so I think exams level were neither so hard nor so easy.

Internship opportunities were good our training and placement officer had a lot of connections with different companies so we were sent for an internship at an irrigation research institute, Roorkee , where we did projects, lot of practicals and successfully completed our internship program.

As I mentioned earlier that campus selection facilities are not so gd so not a lot of companies were reached but students have a lot of opportunities to pull campus. The average package is between 4 to 6 lakhs per annum. Third-year onwards students were eligible for placements. As I previously mentioned that in my branch a company ( prism Johnson cement ) was reached who gave 4.5 lakhs per annum but I only went for interview process but my selection was not done and now I prepare for government vacancies.

First of all, there are no fees for the course. At the time of admission, the fee was 19730 and then at every semester, the exam fee was 3200-3600. I belong to the general category so I have no idea about the scholarship. Campus selection was not so good, computer science students had a lot of opportunities related to placement, For civil engineering students a company (prism Johnson cement ) arrived, and in that, I went for an interview but my selection was not done.

Our tech fest name was "GRAVITON" organized by our college and in this event, different colleges participate, so many events are there like AutoCAD, robotics, web designing, etc. They are conducted in October. Books are available in the library, there were no problems with books availability. Annual sports were organized by our college in which only our college students participated and a lot of games were there indoor outdoor both. There are no social groups but if someone needs any help then we all were there.

Hostel facilities were provided after completion of the second year on the basis of overall CGPA. There are a lot of single and double rooms. Faculties quarters were at other places and the final year hostel was also separately placed. Hostel canteen is not so gd so we mostly preferred college canteen. All facilities were provided in the hostel room like bed, chair, table, fan, light, and also rooms were so clean and corridor too and living space was much more than a person required.
