Entrance Preview

I appeared for WBJEE exam. My score was decent in the exam.I opted this college as because it is a government college and it provided good placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course was good .Importance was given to the programming concepts as well as internal architecture was well explained about the subject. Although I would say that much importance was given to theoretical subjects but that can be overlooked when you see the placements of the college.

Internships Opportunities

No internship is provided by the college. There is no compulsion to do internship in this college. But people from branch like ECE ,EEE and Mechanical did internship from different institutions but the college did not compel any students to do so.

Placement Experience

4

100 % placement is provided who maintain a decent score through out the college. The students who do not have any backlog at the time companies come placement is guaranteed for them. Students of the college with few backlogs are also eligible for placements.

College Events

4

There are only few events celebrated in the college . The best cultural event you will happen to see in the college will be at the time of ONAM celebrations. Students make beautiful rangoli in that events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible. When I was doing my B.Tech , there were two types of seats there. One was called free seat and the fee for the free seat was around 9 K per semester. The other seat present was called payment seat and the fee was around 18 K per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship is provided. But loans for studying in the college can easily be taken from any of the banks. Our college had a good repotation in front of the banks. So getting a education loan for studying in this college was very easy.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio was 4:1 (boys:girls). Campus life was normal, but people gelled up very nicely there. Difficult for girls to stay there.Gender ratio was 4:1 (boys:girls). Campus life was normal, but people gelled up very nicely there. Difficult for girls to stay there as hostel was not provided by the college.

Exam Structure

50 marks internal exam and 100 marks external exam every semester was conducted. In every semester two internals was taken and one external exam was conducted. Pass marks was 75 from the total of 150 marks. College was very strict in terms of giving more marks.

Admission

The admission process was to appear in the CUSAT exam. Then after getting the result we have to attend the counselling held at Cochin. In the counselling students are given branches according to the rank they have got in the examination. Then after the counselling the seat will be confirmed.

Faculty

4

The faculty are good and experienced . Some of the faculties are lecturer there which means they have immense years of experience which is well visible when they take lectures in college. Some of the faculties present in the college were the pass out of the same college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was quite irrelevant to be honest. None of it is actually followed in real life. We did not have proper practical classes which I think was of utmost importance rather than rote learning theories which aren't even applicable in classroom.
