A Learning and Memorable journey in SPSU

As SPSU is running under JK Cement Ltd. And my father is the contractor. JK was giving scholarships for contractors children. So they filled my form and asked me to give exams. So after the qualifying exam, I received an email from University that you have a qualifying exam and are eligible to take admission. Then I visit University with all my documents there they first told me all about University facilities, program, faculty etc. Then they verify my documents and they enrolled me in mechanical engineering as per my interest. After giving admission they also asked me to maintain at least 65% marks to avail of the scholarship. And I am maintaining that grade. And that's how I get admission there. This is the process for taking admission there at Sir Padampat Singhania University.

As I was having an interest in Mechanical Engineering so I took admission in that branch only. As there are 8 students only in our branch and 6 faculty members for mechanical department. So they can focus very accurately on each student. They are always ready to solve our problems. They also made class groups with an individual mentor. Mentor listen to our problems and try to resolve those problems. All the faculty members have done PhD in their respective fields. They try their best as per their experience during teaching us in classrooms. They have made their personal academic calendar and according to that calendar, they took all midterms and end term exams. Passing criteria in moderate.

Sir Padampat Singhania University is providing a lot of internships for students in different branches. Railway transportation corporation students are getting internship opportunities in Japan every year. But as per the current pandemic situation they are not able to provide this thing. Students are getting internship opportunity from Piramal glass industry Gujarat, Jk cement Ltd from University only. Every year all the students have to make atleast one project according to their interest with their different groups in which they are getting one facility member also for any kind of help. These projects not only grooming students experience in doing any project also they are grooming in presentation skills also because we have to present our presentation topics, progress report of project, our methodologies time to time.

Final year students are eligible for campus placement. Students get pre placement offers from various companies. For pre final year students they are providing internships for students. So many companies are visiting our University like Hitachi, JK Cement, Piramal Glass Industries Gujarat, Pinnacle, Wipro, Infotech, lido learning, TCS, etc. The average package is about 4-5 lacs per annum. In Sir Padampat Singhania University approx 90% of students are being placed per year in their respective fields. After getting a degree I will do a job in my respective fields.

As University is residential so according to that thing the fees are moderate. But for me, JK Cement is giving scholarships. They have a scholarship scheme also according to students 12th marks, JEE mains marks, SPSAT test marks, contractors and they are giving scholarships for farmers children also according to their prospects.

There is a lot of festivals are organised on different occasions. First of all, I would like to tell you about the fresher's celebration because that activity was really very good. They organise that activity so that freshers can introduce themselves in university. There are a lot of other fests also celebrated in university like panache, tree plantation, farewell, HR conclave, Convocation ceremony, Orientation. Panache - A very good and one week long program. In which a lot of activities are being organised by students and teachers as well. In each activity other college students also participate. Activities organised like different sports ( cricket, kabaddi, athletics, football , chess, carrom, kho kho etc.), cultural activities, dj nights. Spsu is having a lot of clubs run by students themselves in which any one can participate according to their interest. Those clubs are Hope Club, Magnitude Club, Flash Club, Athlete Club, Arena Club, Bracing Club, Elements and Writers Club, Motion Club etc.

Our university is providing very good facilities in hostels which are being required for any students. One best thing about this university is that they allow only 2 students in each room. They have provided wifi also in hostels. Daily at 9:30 pm, the gate of the hostel is being closed after taking attendance. In meals, they are providing healthy and delicious food. Daily they have different menus decided by students themselves. There is not any difficulty in registration in hostel and mess because these things are done very easily during the admission only. Mess and hostel fees are a bit costly but can be affordable. Here in SPSU, there is not any permission to live on rent in rooms or PG.
