Remarks

Initiated in 1969 by Prof. Nadkarni, it is considered the best in the country. It has hosted seminal and global conferences including ICOGRADA and Cumulus in the recent past (last decade).

Entrance Preview

I studied at IDC (now IDC School of Design) from 2008 to 2010. IDC is a place where ideas are created and then translated into tangible Design forms.

Course Curriculum Overview

The two years M.Des course is offered in Industrial Design, Communication Design, Animation & Film Making, Interaction and Vehicle & Mobility Design. First year involves smaller courses and projects, while the second involves 3 projects (P1- Internship, P2-III Sem and P3-IV Sem). All of the learning at IDC is presented to the public at the Annual Design Degree Shows.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course to see how management in the fashion industry works to understand the process, but nothing is really taught in the class, the assignments given are not related to what they teach.The classes are usually half n hour to an hour making students waste their energy.As a top institute in the country, they have no collabrations with the big fashion weeks or any event.The assignements go through the entire semester and overall completing it till the jury.Students usually re-appear for the exam due to attendace shortage since they have a really bad attedance policy where a student misses for a day and he/she missed 4 classes in a go.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Communication design is broad and provides a great understanding of several different areas of design - definitely, the stream that is the least limiting to an individual. Faculties structure courses in a way that prepares you for both client work and future research work. Exams are few, most grading is done through assignments. Course curriculum could probably be revamped slightly to better align with advancements in design.

I want to try something new that's my family didn't try I wanted to try interior design but at the starting you get the pressure because the one lecture take 3 hours but it's worth it my painting was so bad but now I'm professional I can draw anything the main tough part you have to complete the projects in 3 days
