Remarks

VGI has been one of the stepping stone in my educational and professional career. I have spent few memorable year of my life here. I made friends that are still very close to me. Not only teachers but the staff who still remember me .It feels very nice when you are being recognized after so many years when you reach VGI. It feels fascinating to see how much progress as an institution it has made and how much it has grown

I appeared for an entrance examination which is held all over India called CAT. i got an percentile of 82.

Course Curriculum Overview

The department offers a 4 years B.Tech. course in Computer Sc. & Engineering with the intake of 180 students per year. the college educate tomorrow innovators and guide a broad range of multi-disciplinary initiatives that demonstrate the transformative power of Computer Science and Engineering.It has consistently fulfilled its role of producing Computer Engineers ready to fulfill the needs of the IT world. after completing the program i went on to careers as software engineers, programmers, project managers, designers, consultants or architects who create software as well as computer specialists who administrate database and networking systems or information security specialists.

The placements here are quite good. Companies that hire for Electrical core: Nvidia, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Bajaj etc. Software/Quant compaines open to Electrical: Squarepoint Capital, NK Securities, Google, Microsoft etc. The % of students getting placed are 85%. Average package is 29.33 lpa. I have got an internship in Nvidia Software.

HBTU review from a Ist year student.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is very good in this college. In my own CSE branch there is good placement package you can get. But in this year due to recession the placements is less in IT section but still placement is going on and top package has crossed 35LPA. During previous years top package was around 44LPA and average was 10-12 LPA . Also in other branches like Chemical engineering and mechanical engineering, the placement is at its best of 100% always.
