Remarks

Our college though in the budding stage had met with the challenges and managed to pull out the best possible result from its resources. The college offers B.com LL.B and BBA LL.B courses. I studied the five-year B.com LL.B course. With a well-packed syllabus and thoughtful management of human resources, I was able to achieve strong theoretical and practical knowledge. The college encourages students to do internship programs which had been a great help to the career of students.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculam includes various topics covering Criminal Law, Civil Law, IPR, Environmental Law, International Law, Law of Evidence, and various Management subjects. The classes are taken by well-experienced and well educated teachers. Teachers are highly committed towards excellance of the institution and upliftment of the students

Internships Opportunities

As part of the course, it was mandatory for every student to complete atleast 20 weeks of internship. Many of the students were able to secure internship opportunities at different parts of the country. Some of the students even got an opportunity to do internships with international law firms

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fee structure is affordable that is yearly 25000 if you are able to secure a government merit list and 3500 per year if you opt for a Management seat. There is no scholarship provided. There are several programmes conducted by the college and there are some volunteering activities in association with DLSA that provides stipend.

Campus Life

The college has a well furnished library with a diversity of books that envisage the knowledge and vocabulary of students. There are books of various subjects such as law, management, literature, etc. Apart from the studies, the college conducts competitions such as moot court, debate, quiz etc. There are clubs such as moot club, debate club, quiz club, sports club, arts club etc. Apart from that there are student run magazines which promote the writing skills of students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus curicullam is actually prepared by the University of Calicut and the affiliation also goes to the University of Calicut. But I have a suggestion that just like B.tech the LLB must want a seperate university for the course. The syllabus and subjects are entirely different from university to universities.

The legal profession is a noble profession. Law was treated as the most powerful weapon in our society. So that's why I chose this course. I am very passionate about the legal profession. The teachers provide the fundamentals regarding the legal profession, that is how to read the bare act, how to answer questions in exams etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The academics are more inclined towards the litigation side. There is freedom to answer legal questions according to our interpretation, which is what the profession requires. Marks are not awarded to 'right answers', but to the quality of our interpretation of law. Teachers always teach about the latest developments of a particle section. Famous judgements as well as the latest judgements are taught. Prompt conduction of exams and publication of results. However, revaluation usually takes a couple of months.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell in the department is inactive, though efforts are being made to revamp it. A few companies approach the college under the recommendation of faculty and alumni, a few numbers of students are placed through these interviews. I intend to practice law under a senior lawyer or join a law firm, I have interned with.
