Uttam College-Review

I didn't apply for any other colleges, this is the only college I applied for as it was near my home, and it is well known among our peers, like a good college with not as much high of a cost. Yes, I availed the reservation quota which also gave me quite the leeway getting the admission without much of a hassle The admission criteria are not that high, I don't remember the cutoff but I scored pretty high in the board exam so it was easy getting the admission. There were no GD/PI round, so there is nothing to be discussed, but a telephonic interview was held and they asked me about my qualifications and interests and how I want to pursue my career. Then they asked me to submit my exam results and resume for further verification. After a few days, I got a call that I got admission to the college and I can proceed with further proceedings.

Firstly, I chose this program on a whim with a little idea of what it is like I knew some things about this program and what are main subjects are. Then I started to learn about those subjects based on the curriculum. The curriculum included teaching business-related subjects like marketing and also language-based studies. The curriculum also includes study trips to various seminars and industrial trips where we got to know how things actually work in the real world. They not only focus on academics but also extracurricular activities to make us develop new skills. The faculty-student ratio was not that much much, it was around 1:15 so every student gets proper attention. All the faculties were highly qualified and professional in their teaching, they knew what is good for the student and know the ways how to improve others.

Companies such as - Accenture, IBM, Amazon, Aegis, Hp, Apple, Convergis, Genpact, Google, HCL etc. There were many other companies also came for recruitment. The live projects were held for gaining experience and college also provides opportunities for internships many students get the opportunity for getting placements during the internships.

There are proper programs held for placements during my college I saw various firms and companies come for recruitment. Though my final year because of the pandemic it was a difficult year for placements still many students got opportunities for campus placements.

Fees are not that much I don't remember the specifics of the fee hike policy but it is rather low compared to other colleges at the same lever I didn't apply for any scholarships or any other financial assistance.

Annual fests and functions were held timely on festivals like Diwali festival or holi festival and various educational programs were also helo periodically to develop student's skills. The library was filled with books on every subject, It was enough for me to get by through my graduation.
