Remarks

After passing the 12th board exam, we got a chance to give the NEET exam (then, AIPMT). and after one month of examination, the result is out and as per my rank and score, I was quite sure that, the best college for me on this score will be Patna MEDICAL college(PMC), and then I applied for state quota counseling because in counseling of medical college for MBBS course each student gets 85% quota of its native state and 15 % quota for All India colleges, and I got PMC in 1st round of counseling with my own Unreserved category. I was completely eligible for admission as my age is not more than 25 years and I also passed my 12th board exam with more than 60 % marks in each subject. Complete admission process is really a very hectic process. It includes lots of paperwork and documents verifications. When you got your allotment letter, then you have to collect all the required documents as mentioned in the allotment letter and have to make a physical presence in college before the last date.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

As a medical college, it always has an environment of focus and consciousness. I have chosen MBBS because I want to be a focused student in my life. I want a disciplined life, which is also a beauty of this course. MBBS develops you as a sincere - sensible and soft personality. In each department of our college, there are 3 to 4 teaching and non-teaching staff and our batch strength is of 170 students and there are totally more than 15 departments in MBBS course, so now you have an idea about the faculty Nad student ratio of our college. Faculty members are excellent in every department of our college be it the Undergraduate department or postgraduate department they are well qualified and renowned and they are great doctors too, they have wonderful art and experience of producing successful doctors. As a medical college, here 1st priority is study and assessment of students so exams are on time and obviously it has a difficult curriculum, which needs lots of hard work and dedication.

Internships Opportunities

5

As medical college students, we don't need placements because we have an in-hand job of 1 year as a mandatory internship in hospitals allotted by our college and we also get a stipend of around 30000 per month for whole year after completing 1-year internships. Most of the medical graduates go for post-graduation through entrance exam (NEET - PG) but yes if you want to do the job just after completing mbbs and 1-year internships, you can do jobs in both government as well as private sectors and will get a handsome salary of around 1 lakh per month which is quite good and later on after getting 5 to 6 years of experience your salary will be around 3 to 4 lakh per month and then you can also start your own hospital at your own places as most medical doctors do and if have a post-graduation degree and also have specialization then your starting salary will be around 5 to 6 lakh per month.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Getting admission in MBBS course in government medical college in India is quite difficult because you have to crack a very high competitive entrance exam that is National eligibility cum entrance test (NEET) so after getting admission in a government college you don't have to pay a huge amount. In my college, it is around 45000 for the whole MBBS course and fee hikes are not frequent and when it hike then we have given proper notice and it never hike in mid of the course. As the fee is quite affordable for every section of students so there is no need for scholarships but yes, if you want it, then you have to apply with a proper application to principal and if they found that you really need it you can get some scholarships from college and after passing out MBBS you have opportunity to do a mandatory Internship job in hospitals allotted by your college and you will get an amount of around 30000 per month as stipend but yeah there is no source of income before passing your final year exam.

Campus Life

4.5

Apart from the conscious environment and daily hectic schedules. We also have a month of happiness and the month is March because this month we celebrate our annual college fest that is "Pratibimb"(waves) this fest is just awesome because we get an opportunity and stage to show our extra talent in front of faculties and colleagues. We have a big 24×7 central library equipped with all types of books and journals needed for our excellent course. You can sit in the library and study for as long as you want and you can also issue the books and take it with you to your rooms our classrooms have all types of basic amenities which make us comfortable in classrooms and we can totally focus on lectures. We have a powerful Air conditioner in our class we also have water cooler and comfortable benches. we have 3 to 4 sports grounds separate for boys and girls and we have a sports function in month of January and lots of health-related camps and awareness marathons are organized by Students.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

after entering the college , if you are not from the bihar state then you will get hostel rooms in 1st year of your course but if you are belonging to the bihar state then you will get your hostel rooms in beginning of your 2nd year of course and if you don't want to live in hostels then you can also live at your own place As a old college ...PMC , have old buildings for college as well as hostels ...so Rooms are not too modern...flooring is not too good...and as amenities you will get a normal single bed , table , chair ,Almira, and also get 24 × 7 free electricity and WiFi...you can also install AC and coolers ...if you want we have a total 6 mess...separate for boys and girls which have fixed menu and have proper time limits .Mess provide us foods 4 times a day ..which is very hygienic and good in taste and total fee of mess is around 3000 per month for both Veg and Non veg foods Registration process is simple...just fill a form and attach a copy of your College Identity card

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doing MBBS and becoming a doctor is still one the noblest profession in our society. Mbbs is good but hectic. Like inspite of coming to college you have to study very hard . Even after 8 am to 4 pm classes practical etc you have to study after going from college. It is very hectic and you can't escape from studying because we have to save life of people. And saving lives is not an easy job. Every chapter every subject is important. It's nice and interesting to study but sometimes one can feel low because of the hectic schedule a med student has . Overall you have to study and you will also get time to enjoy when there is no exam or semester. It's fun . it's interesting. It's everything. Consistency in study matters .

Course Curriculum Overview:

See Being a student from rural area, choosing this course was just an easy task for me on the basis of selection between two subjects that is Mathematics and Biology. So first step towards this course was taken after my 10th by choosing Biology instead of Mathematics. After that among different courses that i can pursue as a Biology student, MBBS needs lot of hard work and it pay the respect in return. So this was the reason. To be honest, MBBS student should be given more clinical exposure by reducing their hectic theory classes timing. The syllabus should be reduced and exposure in clinics should be enhanced.
