After I did my Bachelors in Information Technology, I started working immediately in Gurgaon. But after working for four years and switching two companies I realized that if I want a salary hike and a higher position I need to brush up on my skills and also learn some more skills as per industrial requirements. So when I searched for such PG courses I came across this Great Learning academy. When I did some more research I came to know that they provide online learning and certification is given by famous recognized universities and guides for better job opportunities. Amid this ongoing pandemic it was a relief to find such a good option to upgrade knowledge. Admission process is purely online on the official website, first the online application form was filled, then I went through a screening call with the admission director's office. Then I got an offer letter, I paid the fees and secured my seat.

The syllabus was well designed by the great learning faculties in association with the faculties from Great lakes and UT Austin McCombs school of business. It is a 11month course. The course is taught step by step, first foundation then techniques and then domain exposure. After every topic taught a quiz was taken. Faculties were highly qualified like MS, PhDs, MSc. Mentors from various top companies were there for mentoring in the right direction. Capstone Projects to get hands-on experience and all time online access to the course notes. Learning data science and business analytics gave me ample knowledge and hands-on experience to grow in my career. One to one doubt solving sessions were conducted for personal attention. Access was provided for GL Confluence i.e. Industry and peer networking events.

GL Accelerate is the best career program that was specially designed to help in finding a job that matches the domain and experience. Workshops by Industry experts were organized for the preparation of Interviews. Career Mentors were assigned to every individual in the program for proper guidance. Career fairs were organized every three months. Companies that visited the career fair were IBM, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Tata Power, Accenture, KPMG, Myntra, Mercedes-Benz, MedLife, American Express and many more. Regular posts about new job opportunities are updated on the job board. Highest salary package offered was 20LPA.

The total fee for this PG program was 2,25,000 INR + GST. Three options were given for the payment, 1.zero cost EMI plans, 2.EMI plans for 24,36,48,60 months and 3. Lump sum full payment with fee waiver of 15000 INR. Scholarship up to 10,000INR after consultation with the learning consultant. Also Company sponsorships were accepted if any. Education loans at zero % interest rates were also available which can be availed through corporate financial partners of Great learning.

As everything was online there was no such campus life. But the interaction with peers was great, their experiences and knowledge sharing helped me in knowing about various companies they worked with or were working. It was a great learning experience.

After the online form was filled and submitted on the official website a screening call was held with the Admission Director's Office. After the call shortlisting was done and an offer letter was sent. Offer letter was the confirmation acknowledgement for selection.
