Entrance Preview

GLAET, i have scored around 160/360. A friend of mine informed me that his elder brother is in GLA and it is best college in the region.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

In ECE Department, curriculum not only includes subjects, it has extra vocational activities focusing on placement. Teams are dedicated within the department for this specific purpose. Professors and seniors are always up for your help. Placement and company visits are always in buzz.

Internships Opportunities

No, college doesn't provide internship. But in contrast it helps you to reach companies in which you could apply for internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

Since 2010 from whole university every year 70% students are placed in different companies. Every student has got 7 placement opportunities(if not cleared). But it is also a thing which is on the student.

Fees and Financial Aid

University provides upto 40-50 % off in complete academic fee for high % achievers in their board examinations. Loan is also available as Indian Overseas Bank's branch is present in the college for any financial help of the student's family.

Admission

After GLAET, college called me give me the detailed information when i have reach the college. Thereafter the whole mission procedure was started. It took around 1 hour to complete the whole process,I was quite confused reg my trade but the counselor helped me and then i choose ECE as my B.tech trade.

Faculty

4

Every professor is keen to teach new. Its was on us we wished them to teach from or off the course. In off the course i mean the world and culture. Sometimes even debates has occurred on various issues like Loksabha Elections 2014. Most teacher are M.tech qualified and 7 in 15 are holding PHD.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good enough for those who did well in academics and skills, they mostly provide the developer job with some specialization jobs. The placement cell management is very messy so it's very complicated process. And also it's depends on the market conditions also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I always wanted to be an Engineer. And had a keen interest in programming languages. It always fascinated me that we can write code and make the computer work the way we desire. This has endless possibilities for application. Since I am from the CSE department. I would say in the Batch 2015-19 around 180 student were there divided into 4 sub sections. As It would not be possible to manage the number at once. So for each subject there are dedicated faculties which belongs to the department but there are certain subjects which were common to other department so other department teachers also used to teach CSE students. Most of the teachers had qualifications as Master of their subjects. Tech qualified. Only a few of the teachers were Ph.D. qualified. The teaching method of the First & second-year faculties was very good. They focus on leaning of students but in the third and fourth years teaching faculties don't pay that much attention to the student. Students have to rely mostly on self-studies.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, students get eligible for the placements. Many companies visit the college including PalaoAlto, Wipro, Capgemini, Infosys, HCL, and many others. The highest package offered this year was about 11 lakhs and the average is 4lakh. Nearly 60% of students get placed. I plan to have a decent campus placement after completing my course with the guidance of faculties and then learn further and switch companies as per my learnings.
