About my college

I have applied for Government Polytechnic Nainital. I am from the general category so received no quota. To get admission to this college there is an entrance test which is held in April month every year. Then after declaring of result there are different counselling. And on the basis of your rank, you get admission.

I had chosen Civil Engineering because I have to become a junior engineer. But in which college I am there is only 1 teacher of all Civil subjects. In the first year all subjects teachers are there but in 2 and 3 yr all branches there is less faculty. Now about the exam, I would like to tell you that the exam is held every 6 semesters. Passing an exam is not tough at all. Some subjects are there in which students get failed that are building drawing, engineering graphics.

From 3 year student is eligible for student campus. I don't know the company names but there is less placement of Civil Engineering. But other all branches there is 100% placements. The highest package of Civil is 360000 a company from Noida. 70%+ student is eligible for sitting in an interview of all company. My plan is to prepare SSC JE and all other State JE.

As the college is the government so tution fees are not much more. The first-semester fee is rs 5575. And the fee from the second semester is 5300. In our college, there is a scholarship for only SC and ST. General scholarship has not been a stipend for the last 4 to 5 years.

In this college, there is no fest only a fresher for newcomers and farewell for last year students. From the year I have been taken admission there is no annual fest held but the students of 2 and 3 years say that the annual fest is been celebrated in 2018. Classrooms are fair, not good. There is a 2 days annual sports meet every year in this college and competitions are held from time to time from NSS or NCC.
