Remarks

only srm valliammai engineering college I have applied to, i have joined in management quota. due to the management quota, I didn't have applied. The Staff in the admission department guided me well with the courses available and explained the merits and demerits of each department and made me choose the department I want. Finally, I chose Civil Engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Faculties are well equipped and friendly. they clear all our doubts at that instant and guide us well in selecting our career path too. The teaching method is good and easily understandable. We will have three periodical exams conducted each per month and a model exam before our final semester exams.

Class Size: 48Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Internships Opportunities

you can try for summer internships in L& T. and also try applying in IIT's and NIT's if you have a good CGPA where you will be provided with a stipend of Rs.6000/ month for two months. you will also be able to work in well-equipped labs.

Placement Experience

once you complete civil engineering, you can opt for higher education. or go for PSUs with a valid gate score. You can also try preparing for various Government exams like TNPSC, UPSC IES. You can also plan a start-up.

Fees and Financial Aid

During 2011-2015, The fee for the Management quota was around Rs.90,000/year which was well reasonable when compared to all other colleges in this locality. You can apply for Project funding during your final year project where your project will be reviewed and an innovative project will be provided with Rs.5000.

Campus Life

Around 10,000 books are available as a hardcopy for each department in the central library. the library will be open even after working hours for students to learn. There are many facilities for students to relax and enjoy. sports students will be given fee concession too.

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

An average of more than 90% of rhe students were placed during my term. Companies like amazon, juspay, adobe, hcl, cts, tcs, adp etc came and there are 500 companies that visisted our campus during my batch

Sathyabama is value for money

Likes

the classrooms in specialization are air conditioned
faculty is supportive for academic growth

Dislikes

the attendance is strict at 75% and subject attendances upto 80%
you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

Placement Experience:

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

The network connectivity in girls hostel is poor
The food at mess is average sometimes it is not taste
The practical labs are help at distance.

Placement Experience:

At 8th semester the students can become eligible for campus placement and the companies visited more oftens are win etc the highest packages about 25 LP and average packers about 2.5 lpa percentage of students getting placement is above 80 percentage.

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education

The thing I most liked is the campus the infrastructue
There are a many clubs so it's exciting for people who like other things then studies
The opportunities as well the alumini network

The campus is very crowded there are many people compared to other colleges
The category wise fee structure and the increasing fees
Charges for hostel are little more then others

As of my information the placements are pretty decent..first the placements used to take place in Vellore campus but I guess jow they have started here as well ..as of my opinion the placement stars from the 7th semester

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.

My College Tour

I applied to Chennai Institute of technology where the fee structure was enormously high. Ehere as the SRM valliammai has good infrastructure and also the fee was reasonable. No, i didn't get rejection from Chennai Institute of technology. But i got impressed when i went for visiting SRM valliammai as one of my college hunt. SRM valliammai offers both government quota and also admission directly to the college. I went through government quota. So to apply SRM on should be completed 12th grade with reasonable percentage. From fresher's day to Final year: A glimpse into SRM VEC

I got into Panimalar Engineering College via Counselling process, but decided not to go as the college was very strict and Underexposed. The travelling journey of other colleges was also a bit complicated as we must avail the college bus services as they are located in secluded places, where there are no other means of public transportation available.
