My college experience

I've joined RGUKT right after my 10th class. I've chosen this over because here I can study for free with my eligibility. I've paid 22000 for my PUC. Also, this has 6 years integrated BTech program. You have to be eligible for Jagananna Vidya Deevena and vasathi dheevena to get free education.

The curriculum is very different like this has a seperate board of 4 campuses. RKV, NUZVID, SRIKAKULAM and ONGOLE. The class consists of 60 to 65 students and most faculty are well qualified. 50% of them are from IITs. Most of them are PhDs. It is very easy to pass exams. 3 mids per semester out of which the best 2 will be selected. These decisions will vary timely.

There are great internship opportunities. It is mandatory to do an internship at any company in a technical role. Campus management will help in getting intern opportunities. Many of the final year students will be doing great projects.

Coming to placements, this is not awesome. You can get placed at a great company if you are personally going through all the processes. Coming to campus placement, there will be mass drives at some good companies. As of now, I'm not placed. I plan to go for further studies, if not I'll be writing government exams. Yes, placements are not great but you can get a good job if you personally merit something. Atleast 25% to 40% are getting placed every year. As of now, some are placed at Amazon the average package is around 4 lakh and the highest one is around 50 lakh package.

There will be huge financial assistance. Those who are eligible for Jagananna Vidya Deevena (JVD) and Vasathi Dheevena can get complete fee assistance. You'll have to pay nothing atleast till you have attended and are qualifying for next semester. If you are not eligible for JVD the fee will be 50000 per year for BTech and 20000 for a hostel. For PUC it will be 40000 and 20000 for a hostel.

Coming to the annual fest, we'll celebrate Abhiyanth which consists of techno-management and cultural events. This will be a 3-day festival. This will be a grand open ground party. Coming to the library, we have a great collection of books and journals. There is a seperate building for the library. You can get any book at request. Coming to the classroom, it is all about tech. You'll be given a laptop right after joining PUC all material will be shared with you and you'll be given free high-speed internet. Some faculty use projectors and ppts to teach. While some use white board and marker to explain topics. Sports, this is one of the huge parts. We have very large grounds. We have good record in all sports at the national level, especially hockey. Coming to clubs, we have music, dance, theatre clubs. Entrepreneurship cell, debate clubs. We also have a robotic club and coding clubs. Anyone has a great time at their interest.

It will be a campus hostel. You'll not be allowed to stay outside. The rooms will be enough to hold 8 people while during allotment only 6 will be allowed per room. You'll be given a bed, bedsheets, pillows. It will be a lot of fun within the hostel empty place to play and an open-air theatre every weekend. Coming to mess, it will be just like any other hostel. It will be above average, but not the best one. Although some items will be delicious. It is all about the mess you are alloted. You won't be disappointed.
