Manish Kothiyal's Review On IIEBM Indus Business School - [IIEBM IBS], Pune

IIEBM is well known for its discipline and well-groomed environment where the focus is given on overall personality of the student and make them a person who starves for perfection. Overall this is the best management college in Pune which gives so much in very economical fees. A proud IIEBM'ite.

I gave exam of CMAT in which I had scored 75%ile. The main reason behind choosing this college is the USP i.e Discipline and the good environment that college provides to students. When I visited the campus, I found it really suitable for me and the students were very energetic and goal oriented. This was the reason why I joined this college.

As the college provides a PGDM degree, the emphasis is given on the overall personality of the student. Apart from academics, Industrial visits are conducted regularly. Guest lectures are arranged for students to give them a feel of the corporate world. Many events are organized by the college which is basically coordinated by the students and students gets many opportunities to participate and show their skills. Overall, the curriculum is made to match the requirement of the industry and is really good.

The college provides 2 internships. One is Winter internships and second is Summer internship. Winter internship is of 15 days which we do in an NGO and Summer internship is done for 2 months which is in real corporate. Stipend varies from company to company but still it will be approximately around 10k.

Major companies from all the sectors visit the campus and the average package provided is between 4-5lack p.a. The college has a track record of 100% placement and more than half of the batch gets placed at the end of 3rd semester itself. Companies like ITC, Heinz, Asian Paints, Sunguard, Evosys etc comes to college and select students at a very good package. At the end, it is about the student and his ability to fetch a good package. The highest package offered was of 14lakh p.a which was by Amazon.com.

Many events are celebrated in college. If we talk about cultural events, almost all the festivals of every religion are celebrated in the college only. Apart from this, events like Radio Mirchi Talent hunt, Stress Burst parties, Halloween and many more events are organized by the college.

The fee structure is really economical and this is one of the reasons to choose this college. The fee for 2 years excluding hostel is 5.25 lacks.If we talk about the placement, the average placement goes to 4.5 lakhs p.a. This means that merely in one and a half year, student get all his money back. Hence in terms of ROI, its 10 on 10.

As os now I don't have any idea for the same but for loan college has tied up with banks like SBI nad PNB and any student can easily avail a loan from these banks.

Being a residential campus, life is fun here. Every day, a new activity is done. Whether it's a guest lecture, a party, a cultural event or a corporate event, students learn every day. Talking about the ratio, in average it's a 50-50 ratio. Students from all over the country join the college which makes it a well-diversified college. Every event is done in a graceful manner which makes a student learn the aspects of business practically.

Hostel of the college is within the campus which makes it very easy for the student to come to college and then go back to the hostel. The hostel has all the basic amenities which are necessary for a student. Food is given special emphasis and nutrition is also being considered while deciding the menu.

Seniors are really helpful and they are always there from the time of admission till the time a student get placed. College and alumni are connected in such a way that 40-50% of the batch is placed with the help of an alumni only. College also has a separate website for alumni so that they can get in touch with each other and to put a complete IIEBM family in one place.

Exam structure is just like we have 2 internal exams and 1 external exam in each semester. Fixed percentage is calculated and then overall marks are given to a student. Although it is compulsory for the student to clear both the exams. Apart from this many extracurricular activities are being conducted which helps students in removing stress and maintain a healthy environment in the college.

First of all, one need to have criteria of 50% in 10th, 12th and graduation which confirms the eligibility of a student. Then an application form is to be filled by the candidate which they can get from the college website or by appearing in the entrance test which is done by the college in most of the major cities of the country. There, the student is supposed to appear for GD, writing test and a PI. Overall marks will be given on the basis of performance and students are selected as per prescribed cutoffs.

In IIEBM, visiting faculties are there and the teachers best in their subjects are being called. So when it comes to faculty, students gets best of teachers. Apart from this students are provided with a mentorship program where people from industry comes and direct students to find a better career for themselves. Guest lectures are also there to make students aware of the corporate world. A separate faculty is there for students who are weak in communication so that students who are not so good in English don't lack behind.
