Remarks

I didn't apply to any of the colleges except Teerthankar Mahaveer University. Yes, I am from the General quota so I have mentioned that at the time of my admission. The criteria for admission in this college for the program of Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) is that the minimum marks required are 60% and the required age is 18+. The admission process was really simple. At the time of admission, the college asked for some details that normally all colleges ask for like 10th and 12th passing certificates and mark sheets etc. The counselling day was good, the teachers and staff are friendly towards the students. They guide us in a very good manner without any of their personal intentions and just for the sake of the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have chosen this course as I m interested in studying management and financing skills and I want to build a career in this field. Actually about the faculty: student ratio. I have no knowledge as my complete first year has gone online due to the covid-19 pandemic so it is difficult to say about the ratio of the teachers to that of the students. The teaching method is pretty good as well the teachers are well educated. They guide the students only that is better for the future of the students without seeing any of their own benefits. They only guide the students on what's beneficial for them. This year that is 2020-2021 is a pandemic year because of which the examinations which are carried on this year have a different time gap as normally it goes. The time gap is very less between the internal examinations and ofcourse the external examinations. But obviously we cannot blame the faculty for this as this is not in their hands. They taught us well and within the required time gap.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are a number of internship opportunities available from this college. There are a number of projects and competitions that come regularly to learn and to experience the work like photo competition or video making and the awards are internships that come in our way.

Placement Experience

3

According to my knowledge, from the 3rd or 4th semester, we become eligible for the campus placements. The highest package offered from the campus is 7 lakhs to an MBA student. The average package is around 2-3 lakhs. Accordingly, there is 100% placement from the campus placement. My plans after doing this undergraduate course from here are to do masters as according to me doing post-graduation is important and then I will take a good placement from the campus only.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is completely affordable for this course plus there is a special scholarship for the Jain students. The fees structure for this course is 27400 per semester and a little less for the Jain students depending on the marks they scored in their schools. I haven't got any jobs yet from the campus as I have just completed my first year.

Campus Life

3

The answer to this question is given only when we attended college. But because of this corona pandemic, the classes have gone online only. But as seen in the pictures and videos the college and university are actually very good looking. The infrastructure is great their plus the cricket ground and space for all the indoor sports is beautiful.

Hostel Facilities

3

As I discussed earlier, I haven't attended college so there is no point in living in the hostels too. But I have listened that the hostel faculty is too good and friendly and the meal is also quite ok. The registration process for the hostels is simple, we just have to fill a slip and pay the required fees to get into the hostel.

Specific aspects of curriculum that influence my decision to choose this course is that it is very good and personally I think it is scoring. The curriculum is very well as it prepares me for real world applications for the academic pursuits. There is no areas for improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods as they are best. The frequency in timing of exams along with my perspective on their difficult level is moderate moderate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good but only theoretical, it does not prepare you for real world challenges, since bcom is a general course but still acts as foundation of every Commerce students career ladder, the decision for opting it is correct. The frequency of exams are less and their moderate difficult but not very hard .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is more inclined towards a theoretical side and lacks practical exposure. In the present scenario, having practical knowledge is a must if you want to survive in the industry, which my college didn't prepare me for. However, there are various opportunities across the campus. We have AIC inside the campus, which may offer an internship to the students if they reach out to them.
