Remarks
I applied for ASB, Bharti Vidyapeeth University and GGSIPU. Due to some circumstances, I didn't give the Bharti VidhyaPeeth's entrance exam and on top of that, I cleared the ASB's entrance exam and the interview round too. Then, I gave IP's entrance. IP was taking much time so, I took admission to ASB. I enrolled myself on BBA General Programme. The admission criteria were crystal clear, above 60% marks in the top 4 subjects in the 12th class including English it and the applicant should not be above the age of 21. The admission process started with a call from my counsellor. She told me all the details and facts and figures of the college. After that, an online entrance exam with 60 questions for which 1 minute was alloted for every question. Then, after a few days, I got a call from my counsellor regarding the clearing of the entrance exam. Furthermore, she asked me to get ready for the interview round. Within the next couple of days, my interview round was taken into consideration.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to do BBA and more likely wanted to be in a professional world and BBA is the torch for me. There are a total of 76 students in BBA. The faculty is very professional and disciplined at the same time. Half of them have done Phd in their respective subjects. The teaching method used by all is very participative and encouraging. They conduct GDs, short role-plays, ask students to tell at least 2 business news daily and a lot more. Extra subjects like Personality development, Media housing, etc really help an individual to grow in person. Exams are held for a duration of 3 hours. With 5 questions of 3 marks, 3 questions of 7.5 marks out of which only 2 have to attempt and out of 5 long questions carrying 15 marks only 3 are to be taken care of. The exams are easy to clear. It's simple if you listen to your lectures then exams are not a big thing to worry about.
Internships Opportunities
The internships are very good ranging from NGOs to corporate sectors. NGOs like Aashman Foundation has approached for a long collaborative tie-up with the college. Companies like Mahindra, Philips, Securicor and the week offer the role. Companies with sales and marketing approach slightly more than Finance, HR and IT companies. Stipend differs from company to company. One of my seniors got an internship of Rs. 10,000 per month. There is always 2 months of summer internships for the students when the 4th-semester is done. But, if you want to do the internships from the first semester then, you're most welcomed. The outcomes of the internship are to learn teamwork, gain industry knowledge, etc.
Placement Experience
The college starts giving placements from the 6th semester onwards. The college has tied up with many recruiter parthers like- Dabur, Amazon, Deutsche bank, SBI, PNB, Nestle, HCL, Axis bank, etc. Whatever I came to know Rs 12.5 lakh is the highest package offered and the average package is 4.5 lakh - 5 lakh. There are about 85% of chances of getting the placements but I believe is a student is fully liable and responsible for the placement. And many students go for further education straight away while some indulge themselves in their family business. College provides good companies but what a student does in the interview is solely his responsibility. I will do a job for 2 years and after that, I'll for MBA or PGDM. It will add 10 more marks for my Clat exam and plus it will give me the experience of my field.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees college charges are Rs 4.4 lakh. It includes all the charges of cultural programmes, fares and fests. I find it value for money. Apart from the academic course and knowledge the college also provides 4 diploma courses like Personality Development, Digital Marketing, language- german and french and 6 media modules. The scholarship I was rewarded with was categorised by the percentage of marks in the 12th class. A maximum of Rs 40,000 is awarded. I'm a freshman. I don't know much about the jobs and placements. But whatever my seniors have told me it is all good. My super seniors are placed in Byju's, HDFC, Nike, etc. Companies like Dabur, Amazon, Snapdeal, PNB, Honda, Nestle, etc are the recruitment partners with the college. The college also provides internships opportunities every summer time.
Campus Life
Since Covid is hitting every corner of the world, I didn't get the opportunity to go to college for a long period of time. The college was open for 1 month and after that university's end term exams were held. The campus and social life are way too good. Decorum and code of conduct are managed very well. Very Wednesday there is a club activity and students are bound to take the participate. Sometimes the college also conducts national level competitions, international conferences, webinars, etc. They all increase our morale, confidence level, presentation skills and many more. The library is a good resource for the college. You can issue a book for a period of 9 months and a maximum of 3 books can be issued. There are several clubs in the college. Every club has executives, secretaries and presidents and for every post, students have to give the exam according to the year in which he is. Names are- Gnosis club, IT club, Bulls and Bears, HR club, Idealthon, CSR, Cultural and dramatics clubs.
Interview Experience
Yes, I had my entrance test at the first level of admission. My counsellor told me about the my clearance of the exam. Further she told me about the interview round. In the interview panel there were 5 people including me. They first introduced them and then asked me to introduce myself. After that my top 3 favourite subjects were asked. And then questions were asked accordingly. Questions were easy and general knowledge was questioned more. Then, once I cleared my interview round, the college faculty requested me to submit Rs. 45,000 for the reservation of seats. This amount is adjusted from the total fees. Once I was sure about taking the admission, I went on further and submitted my fees. I took entrance classes for the exams.
