Remarks

There are a lot of things that I can say in that section, but Jims lajpat Nagar just pees on one's admiration to go to college as it just like an institute. It should have been bigger with more faculty and a nice cafeteria with something to eat.

Entrance Preview

Well, I was always fascinated by communication. I gave an IP university entrance exam and a few in private colleges, however got selected in Jims scoring 50%.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course structure was not so impressive as a mass communication course should be. It should have been more creative with more inspiring teachers. The course curriculum should have an counseling side to it as it is a very versatile course to pursue. The teachers should decide the strong side of the students and push them for specialization.

Internships Opportunities

No, My college doesn't provide an internship. My college has always been a supporter of field education but has not been par with the organisations as king for media candidates.

Placement Experience

1

The placement and job opportunities were exactly equivalent to a negative probability. I did not get a job from my college. I never expected that I would get a job from my college as a very few people achieved that ratio, although I tried a lot but due to lack of opportunity, I never made it.

College Events

2.5

Prism(filmfest), zest, annual events, literary fest, slogan day, etc. These were the major festivals which worked as a platform to showcase the real potential of the students. A few festivals were solely organized by the students, allocating money, resources, place and everything other connected with the event on our own.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is actually really high if compared with the resources provides and observing the education system. The fee structure is designed to pay in six installments of close to 50000 each, which I don't know accounts for what as we get a degree from a distance learning university.

Fees and Financial Aid

While studying in Jims, I have observed that there are a neglecting possibility for a student to receive a scholarship as it is not a very highly recognized college.

Campus Life

2

Well, the campus life has been good and yes it could have been batter if there would have been more diversified events, festivals and extracurricular activities. Overall, the competitions were not up to the mark and lacked creativity. There was a big problem of space that haunted us to bound our creative side.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

There is no hostel in my college and the canteen sucked with the oily and pathetic food served. The canteen was at the top floor serving oily samosas and bread pakoras, which nobody never ate, the main course was as pathetic as was the starters, the only thing that was eatable was the packed food and drinks.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students have been the best part about my college as they were a real helping hand in the threshold. There was never an incident of ragging and alumni have helped us in all way possible.

Exam Structure

The exam structure of our university exams is very hectic as it is a very lengthy exam and requires apt studies. The exam structure is quite impressive actually. The exam structure is quite similar with Delhi University as it also has 7 questions in the paper with admitting to fill 4 sheets per answer.

Admission

I heard it from a friend who was going for the entrance, and that made me hop along. I filled out the three page objective form with a section on comprehension and other grammar exercises. The last was to write an article of 1000 words, and the administration was very helpful throughout the process.

Faculty

3

The core teachers are doing the best in their interest to teach the subjects, however there are a few guest lecturers who are really good at teaching their profession in a profound manner. The teachers always maintained a scarcity amongst them to not form a connection with the students.

Overall the management is good. A few problems occur here and there, they are resolved later on but it will take a lot of time. The management responds but you need to give them a lot of time and have a lot of patience. Sometimes it may take 3-4 months for the management to take the required steps.
