Pros and Cons of Lalita Devi Lingaya's College

After class XII, I applied for various colleges like DU, IPU. I attempted a national entrance exam and after the results, the college contacted me for admission. I was invited by the management to visit the campus, there a teacher showed me around the campus, gave me insights into placements and extra-curricular in college. The college was close to my house so my parents considered it and left the decision up to me. The criteria were based on the rank obtained in IPU CET only. I secured my seat in the first round of counseling, which was online. I submitted the documents online and paid the fees. The process was smooth and since I had already visited the college once, I made this decision without much thought.

I chose BBA as I have an interest in Business admin etc and this course has subjects based on these fields. It's rather more practical-based than just theoretical. There are 2 sections of about 45-50 students and 4-5 faculty members. The teachers are highly qualified(Postgraduates,at least) and really knowledgeable in their subjects.The classes were held online but still, the explanation and understanding were equally good as in a normal classroom. Internal tests are conducted every 2 months and term exams towards the end of the semester.Due to quality teaching,these tests cover everything thought in the classroom and it's not that difficult to pass for students.

Many internship opportunities come along for students throughout the year in the fields of finance, HR, and marketing. Some offer stipends, some don't and students can apply for whatever suits them. Companies like WhiteHat Jr, Aasman Foundation, Quantel Hirings, and Decathalon offer internships.

The placement starts for final year students in the 5th semester and internships from the 4th semester. All students are eligible. Packages range from 3.5-6 LPA. I would go for higher education after getting the degree.

The fee structure for BBA Year I is around Rs77000 annually. The fees are in the same range for 2nd and 3rd-year students as well. Students have an option to pay the fees in 2 installments. The college has a placement cell that offers jobs to students ranging from around 3.5-4.5 LPA with companies visiting throughout the last semester.

Life at the campus is fun. The library has all the study material, journals, and newspapers. The placement cell is run by students who pitch companies for internships and jobs. The classroom, auditorium, conference room are full equipped with all modern tools.
