Remarks

Overall my reamrks are good for this college, KISS which is a school for poor people, where students are given free education, free food and free living is the greatest thing.

Entrance Preview

I sat for VITEE, KITEE, IIT-MAINS, BITS Pilani, in BITS my score was little low and in VIT i got civil branch but i was interested in mechanical branch which i got in KIIT University. My selection procedure here was through KITEE, score forgotten, and i heard alot about this college and in Odisha KIIT has a lot of name and fame, so opted for this and also it was near to home.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

KIIT Univeristy, specially mechanical department is really strict regarding academics. There is no objection to having fun but keeping proper academic studies. The teachers are really helpful with a family touch feeling. There are alot of labs in the mechanical department equipped with modern equipments, teachers help and guide alot if someone is interested in doing any kind of research work.

Internships Opportunities

In my second year i went for internship outside so don't have any idea about this, but college issues letter for each and every student whoever goes for internship in any company of their choice.

Placement Experience

4

This is the greatest thing of our college that it provides 100% placement, as a fresher packages are well offered here. Companies like TCS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, ACCENTURE, DELL, FIAT, VOLTAS, DELOITTE, CYBAGE, INAUTIX, ZENTRON LABS, INDIAN NAVY, TECH MAHINDRA, and a lot more, where in average package remains around 4 lpa counting upto around 30 lpa.

College Events

5

In our college round the year something or the other event goes on. KIIT FEST is held every year , along with that fests of KIIT MBA, KIIMS, KIIT BIOTECH, and a lot more by different socities of the college like pankh, archimedes, etc. Other organisations also held up their events here, KIIT International MUN is a big event to count.

Fee Structure And Facilities

When compared to other private institutes the fees structure is upto the mark, on an average including hostel fees, mess fees, institutional fees the sum goes round 3 lakhs for one year i.e. 2 semesters which if seen in other institutes would reach around 4 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Those who score good in KITEE get scholarships for their entire course in this college, personally didn't availed any scholarship. College also funds students different types of projects and representing them in any other instutions.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus is well decorated with a nice feel every where to spend time in the evenings to spend time, gardens are also there, temple is also there. There are a number of grounds for playing football, cricket and all other outdoor sports, indoor game facilities are also available, there are a no. of gyms, swimming pool, etc. The gender ratio is around 50-50 and anti ragging society is also there which works well. Competitions are also organised upto national level also.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities are quite good, there are alot of hostels round the campus with the facility of both a/c and non a/c, in winter hot water is provided, faculties and wardens give surprise visits to avoid any type of mischiefs going on in the hostels, so overall hostel experience is good but the mess food is really bad, sometimes quality also gets compromised. when complained it gets ok but after a few days again the same thing.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, faculties do focus and make students interact with the alumnis, they give away lessons about preparations and what they learned in their time.

Exam Structure

The lab exams are conducted at the end of every semesters, each and every lab experiment is carried out properly the lab records are little hectic to write, to maintain them properly, and the exams happen in two rows. One is the mid semester exams and the other is end semester exams. Both the marks are added along with internal marks from assignments, attendance, tests for final result of the semester.

Admission

For all the entrance examinations, the notification for form filling came out around october or november and it was with my father all the work was done of form filling, submitting them or posting them, etc. By february all form filling and posting work was done, got my admit card, after the board exams started giving the entrance exams one after the other, starting with JEE-MAINS. After that, got sorted in 2 colleges among which chose KIIT University.

Faculty

4.5

The teachers are really helpful with a family touch feeling, teachers help and guide alot if someone is interested in doing any kind of research work. The Dean and associate dean and the teachers also encourage in taking part in various activities, help in showing path for future, what to do and what not to that would affect in future campusing process or in further life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* I had chosen to do mechanical engineering because I had some bond with machines and it's designing and was also aware with the scopes of mechanical engineering. * In real world the curriculum helped me a lot and still it is helpful, currently I'm preparing for position of junior engineer and there it is quite helpful for me. * I don't think any improvement is required in the course curriculum and teaching methods as everything was good at its place and it's also the responsibility of us (students) to know our curriculum thoroughly and give our best. * Exams were conducted at an interval of 6 months and as said earlier exams conducted were moderate level not too difficult or easy and with studies it can be cleared easily

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
