Life at kiit

The management is very good and very helpful in the college. if any problem occurs they resolve it within few hours. due to the management only it is a 100% ragging free campus. The management is very well disciplined. till now I have not found anything bad in the college. The atmosphere is very much positive.

KIITEE was the name of entrance exam. KIIT University conducts its own entrance exam for selection of candidates. we got the ranks and according to the rank, counseling was conducted. my rank was 1224. I opted for KIIT because I have heard about KIIT from many of my seniors and even the placements are very good here.

The course curriculum is very nice at our college. In the first year, all the branches have common subjects. My subjects in first semester were Engineering Mathematics, Physics, Engineering Mechanics, communication English, Engineering Drawing and basic electrical engineering. Mechanics was the very interesting paper. Basic concepts of Mechanical Engineering. we studied in mechanics. It is one if the toughest subjects of mechanical. From second year we got all our branch papers like s.o.m (strength of material), e.m (engineering materials) and thermal engineering. different research topics are also discussed in the classrooms. our teachers also encourages us to go for researches in different topics. some of our also doing their researches indifferent.

Our college provides internship in the companies like TATA STEEL and JSP. college sends the students for training and industrial visits in the 3rd and 4th year. The training period for me was very interesting this time. I took the training in TATA STEEL. The stipend is also provided to the student. there average there is about 4000. This time I got 3500 in the summer vacation. the knowledge which we gain during our internship was very useful. we got the practical knowledge which no one can get in books. the machines which we study in books were in front of us.

job opportunities are very nice. More than 70 companies come every year to the campus for recruitment. Multinational companies also conduct their placement interviews on the campus. The average annual package is about 6 lacks. till now the highest package is of about 9.35 lacks. Companies like Tata Steel, Jindal steel plant, voltas, Thermax, Harley Davidson come to the campus every year for recruitment. for placement first, there is written test and personal interview and group discussion.

The different events are like freshers day. it is the welcome function for the newcomers. the most wonderful event is the KIIT fest which is generally held in the Month of March. it is a 3 days celebration. The first day is for the Technical Exhibition. different models are kept in the exhibition like solar cars, drone, automatic drain cleaner and many interesting projects are displayed which are made by the students. In the second day of the fest, DJ nights is organized. world famous DJ has been invited to the campus. the third day is the star night. Bollywood film stars are invited . last year sunidhi Chauhan was invited. that was a memorable night.

The fee structure is a little bit expensive. but the facilities which are provided here you will not get any other place in India. The college provides a very good quality education. you will feel it that the money which you are paying is not going waste. the education, the facilities, the lifestyle you will get here is very nice. The fee structure changes every year. in my time it was 1.10 lacks per semester and the hostel fees are 40000 including food.

different competitions exams are held for the scholarship every year. The students who scored top three positions in the class are provided scholarship by the college. if you score under 100 rank in the entrance exam KIITEE then you have to only pay 50% of the fee only. At the time of the admission, you can ask for a loan also. The college refers the suitable bank in which you can easily get a loan without the interests.

The gender ratio is equally divided here. The number of boys and girls are almost same in every branch. many extracurricular activities are also done here. there is a campus which is named as KSAC ( KIIT student activity center). there is very well scopes for sports players here. there are provided very well facilities. different competitions are held like debate, speech, chess every last Saturday of the month. there is a dedicated robotics lab in the campus. The interested students can join the robotics class and can learn robotics.

The hostel facilities are very good. there are many beds. almost all students get seats in the hostel. The hostels are very well infrastructure. one room is shared by three students. all the are equally designed. All the rooms contain three beds, three cupboards, three study tables and three chairs. wi-fi facility is there in the hostel. The sanitation is also very nice. The mess is very well maintained. It is neat and clean always. the quality of food is also nice. they maintain the hygiene. The everyday menu is decided by the students only. The special menu is there on festival days.

The best thing about KIIT is it is 100% ragging free campus. our seniors are very helpful and friendly to us. they are always ready to help the juniors in any manner. student mentors are there to help the juniors. our seniors help us in our academics also. there is one common motto in our college " give respect take respect".

The exam structure is also very nice. In every semester two exams are conducted by the college. The first one is the mid-semester and the last one is the end -semester. the mid-semester exam is held generally after the completion of half of the syllabus . in the end of the semester the final exam or end semester is held. the questions maintain a standard. they are not very hard nor very easy. Practical exams are held during the end semester.

First, I appeared in the entrance exam kIITEE ( KIIT entrance exam). After the publication of results, I got my rank. it was mentioned in result card only. I was eligible for the first round counseling. The counseling dates were sent to me by e-mail. I came to the campus on my counseling date. The counseling started from 10 am. when my turn came I went to the counseling table. faculties were there to assist me. A choice filling form was given to me in which I had to fill the branches in which I would like study. I opted for mechanical engineering. my second choice was electrical engineering. then we deposited the demand draft of Rs 50,000 for seat booking. Then after a week, the final results were published in which our branch was mentioned. The admission date was provided in which we have to come and take admission by verifying our documents like mark sheet etc.

There is one thing very remarkable in KIIT that is all the teachers are highly qualified. In our Branch, all the teachers have completed their M.tech. many faculties are pursuing Ph.D. in their respective papers. Our all faculties teach with their full interest. They always try different styles and techniques to make us understand the subjects. By giving the daily life example, videos of the topic etc. The attitude of the faculties towards the students is very good. they are always ready to help the students outside the campus also. In the time of exams, our teachers come to our hostel to clear our doubts
