Best College in Madurai

I took only the college entrance and stood 2nd. But was a 3 stage selection process including Group discussion and interview. Out of about 400 students 60 were selected.

There was no internship arranged by the college.The students had to make their own arrangements.But the department assisted and helped in by providing bonafied letters.

In my batch only 2 of us were placed. But the average placement seem to have improved over the years. The package offered to us in 2005 (11 years ago)was 175000. This was only for Mba department. But the undergraduate departs if the college were much sought out during my time.

Cynosure was out department festival. But we also celebrated The college annual day and Candle light ceremony with joy. Candle light ceremony is celebrated on the farewell day. All the students are required to wear white. It is quiet a sight that day with candles and white costume. The college day allows to students to exhibit students talents.

The fee structure was quite feasible compared to other colleges in the city of the same standard.In 2003, I paid Rs.33000 per semester as tuition fees for 4 semesters in 2 years. So the total tuition was about 125000 rs. Other than that there was exam fees about 10000 approx. So totally I completed my MBA in just about 2 Lakhs.

There were many endowment prices and scholarships. There was also free meal scheme for students from lower economic background.

The college is popular and us known for its freedom to students ad their ragtime itself is 'Freedom with responsibility. The college believed in equal opportunities to women students. Though, A Christian minority institution, the college embraced talents from all the other religions too and from all economic backgrounds.

The alumni association of the college is one of the largest and most effective. In fact, Most of the campus recruitment are through the alumni.

There were four semesters. Each semester there were 5-6 papers. Each paper also had 5 internal assessments. Best 3 internal scores out of 5 were taken.The tests and exams were never hectic. The portions were completed on time before the tests so it was not a problem even I there were frequent tests and assignments.

There was a college entrance exam. We procured the form in January and the selection process started in March. The entrance exam was in 2 parts. Part 1 was 90 objective type questions to be completed in 60 minutes.
