Saranathan College of Engineering comes under Tamil Nadu.So no need of any entrance examination. Higher secondary board examination score and cut off as Anna university is required to join. I secured 187.5 in my +2 board and chose a B.E EEE seat in Anna University Counselling for 2010-2014.

Course structure is good. As per Anna university syllabus course curriculum is really good.6 theoretical and 3 practical paper per semester. Final year curriculum changes slightly. 4 theoretical paper as per Anna Univ standard and 2 optional paper which students can opt.

Saranathan College of Engineering provide internship on their respective departments for the students but based only on their academic performance. Mostly toppers in every department gets a chance to go internship to various companies and they get a stipend around 10k per month.

During 2014 academic year, Saranathan College of Engineering provided very less placement opportunities compared to other colleges. Only infosys and econ visited the college ON campus placements and they recruited around just 50 students. Saranathan College of Engineering has gradually increased their placemnets now. Its almost 70% now.

Saranthan College of Engineering conducts technical events. Technical events for each and every department is conducted every year and students are given chances to perform good in it. There wont be any cultural events conducted in the college. They focus only on the technical side.

Fee is feasible. Fee is very less compared to all other Anna University affiliated colleges.Students who come through government quota has to pay 40k P/A and management quota students has to pay around 72k P/A. Hostel and Mess fee is also feasible only. There wont any extra charges aprat from academic and hostel.

Yes, Saranathan college of Engineering offers scholarships to the top 5 scorers based on the Higher secondary board score and family income. They get the entire fee paid from government.

Saranathan college of Engineering has got good hostel facility. Hostel is really a good one. Only boys hostel is there inside the college campus. There are girls hostel outside the college campus.Boys hostel has 2 sharing, 3 sharing and 5 sharing rooms with nice maintenance. Mess food is pathetic one.

No, Saranathan college of Engineering has Alumni network which is really bad from where you will not get any help. If it was helpfull 2014 batch students would have placed in a larger number.

Saranathan College of Engineering follows Anna University exam structure which is good for students to prepare and score very good percentage. Each examination is conducted in the alternative days which gives students enough time to prepare. Results gets announced with 1 and half month as per Anna University regulations.

If student Cut Off is not enough for the government quota, there is an option to join through management quota.College doesnt ask any extra donation for management quota.College expects the candidate to secure decent cut off to get a management quota seat.Fee is just double of government quota. 40k Per year for Government quota whereas management quota comes around 72k per year.

Saranathan College of Engineering has got pretty talented faculty in almost all the departments. Most of the faculty are well stuffed with the subject knowledge and they handle students well. Head of the department of each Department is an IITian or NITian which adds value to the department. College has got many Ph.d faculty.
