Remarks
I have not applied to any other Colleges. I came to know about this college through my friend. I got admitted to College through Management Quota. The admission process was very simple. I went to the college and filled the necessary forms and paid the amount of Rs.5000 for confirmation of admission. Later had to submit necessary documents to college. The basic eligibility was a +2 pass.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Mechanical Engineering because it provides a base knowledge for most of the Engineering Education. The Faculty: Student ratio is almost 1:6. Few of the faculties have completed PhD, Some of them with M.E and most of the facilities had years of experience in Industries. Both theoretical and practical teachings were good. Internals were conducted once a month. The difficulty of the exams was moderate.
Internships Opportunities
Most of them had a chance to do internships. Quality CNC is one among other companies. Students were allowed to work with a stipend of Rs.12,000. During College days students were made to do projects for Hackathon and other similar competitions. Students were made to do research and finish projects. Students were supported by a guide, who motivates and helps them in their projects.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year, students were given training for placement. And we're allowed to attend placement from the 4th year. Most of the companies visited were IT based. Companies for non-ciruital branches were really low. Few IT companies visited were CTS, TCS, Infosys, etc. And few non-circuital companies visited were Sakura, Wabco..etc. The highest package offered for mechanical engineering was around 3 LPA and the average package was around 1.8LPA. The placement rate was low for Mechanical engineering during 2020-2021.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure differs for both Management and government quota students. For Management students, the fee is around Rs.1,29,000 per year. And around Rs.50,000 per year for Government quota students. Since I was a Management student I haven't got any scholarships. But Scholarships were available for Students from the Government quota. Loans are available for students who had cleared the semester.
Campus Life
"Hilaricas" - South India's one of the Mega Inter College festival is conducted by our College management, every year on Feb 14. Department Symposiums were also conducted once a year. Mostly it's conducted in March of every year. Regarding Library, the College has a main library and each department has its own library. The main library has more than 10,000 books, both course related and others. The library also possesses a good WiFi connection. Sports were encouraged by the management. There were separate grounds for cricket, volleyball, basketball..etc. Students were given OD to participate in competitions both inside and outside the campus.NCC, NSS clubs were available. A music band was also there in the College.
Hostel Facilities
Both deluxe and non-deluxe rooms were available. Deluxe room rent was about Rs.80,000. And non-deluxe rent varies from Rs.60,000 to 75,000. Food was common for all. Students have to adjust a little in the case of food. Because most of them won't like it. The registration process was very simple. There was a separate section for a hostel. To book a room we had to visit the section and fill necessary forms. Same for paying a fee.
