MY JIMS EXPERIENCE

I had applied to many colleges and gave many GD-PI's. Me being from a general category had no reservation or any quota so my admission took place purely on the basis of my academics. You need to have appeared for MAT or CAT and attained a minimum of 50%. Along with this, a minimum of 50% in graduation. The admission process had 2 rounds consisting of a GD and a PI.

I had applied for PGDM in International Business. Before applying for this course I had my research done about the scope and the prospects of this stream. JIMS provides dual specialization so we can have 2 majors rather than a major and a minor. Speaking of the faculties here at JIMS, they are highly qualified experienced professors. Apart from their professional background, not only they are cooperative professors but also a mentor to all the students in need.

There are numerous Internship opportunities as well as living projects. I did my first internship in the month of January. Live projects begin from the month of December. You will get all sorts of profiles be it for content writing, finance marketing, digital marketing, or HR. Some may offer stipend some may not. It completely depends on the company to company.

Students like myself undergo the internship process from the month of April. Right after the internship for 2-3 months, we have our exams and then our placements commence from the month of September. Due to covid, there has been a slight change in the package but there has not been any change in the number of opportunities you get here at JIMS. We get companies from the Big4 to many startups as well. So you won't miss out on anything.

The cost for 2 years in PGDMIB course is 7,70,000. Speaking of scholarships, it is bifurcated into categories; 25%, 15%, and 10% based on your score. The annual intake is comparatively less than other colleges gives better placement opportunities for the students at JIMS.

So my batch has been the one that has been going online since the very beginning. Even with it being online, we still have many activities and events going on every now and then. Me being the head of 3 clubs have organized more than 6 events of the college in the past 1 year.

Yes, I had undergone a GD while the CAA bill was a hot topic. The topic for my GD was "Is Hinduism changing our nation's constitution?" We were being evaluated upon our confidence level, content, body language, and many other factors. The best way to crack any GD is to be aware of the happenings around you. to have good knowledge of daily news.
