My Experience at ISB&M, Nande

Knowing the placement record, the alumni record, package offered, facilities provided in our college is enough to decide whether to take admission in a particular college or not. So, for me these are the reason for taking admission into this college as I doubt everything as per my choice. The admission process consists of several rounds. The first step I took was to apply for the course, and then my track of success i.e. CAT score, previous academic record, work experience was considered. Also, I had appeared in college entrance test and had gone through GD and PI rounds. And lastly I am here.

The course curriculum consists of core subjects and elective subjects along with the summer internship and dissertation. Also, we do live projects, case analysis, and go for industrial visit which are part of our course curriculum. Besides, the faculty members of our department are highly educated with holding an experience of 10 years and beyond. They co-operate us in executing our assignments. They keep us updated with the latest happenings and demands of the corporate world and prepare us accordingly. Other than giving classroom lectures, they focus on developing our personality, analytical thinking ability and other required skills.

Around 100 top leading companies visited our college campus for the recruitment process. So, the top recruiters are Deloitte, Phillips,ITC Ltd., Aditya Birla Group, Thermax, and HFFC. During the placement drive, the highest package offered was 20 lakh per annum and the average package was 8 LPA. So, the placement record of my college and the packages offered by the recruiters are good and seeing this I have decided to join a company after I complete my MBA. But yes, afterward, I will go for higher studies.

The fee for PGDM program is 12 lakh in total. However, there is provision of paying these amount in installments. Other than this, I paid security money and placement fee as well and most importantly I paid separate fee for hostel and mess. But also my college provide scholarship Rs. 1.5 lakhs to 20 students having CAT/XAT score of 80 and beyond percentile with at least 85% in 10th, 12th and a minimum of 70% in graduation.

Our college conducts several activities and events for us to learn something new and get exposure through this. So, few events that are organized every year include 'Zelocity' which is inter-college culture fest, Fresher's Party, 'Runbhoomi' which is a sports tournament where series of 8 sports are played. 'Crescendo' is an annual fest which includes fashion show, rock show, meme act, paint ball, aqua dance and other activities. And due to these events, my college life is so happening as I got so many opportunities to showcase my talent.

I only know the topic of my GD round as I was too afraid thinking if I would get selected or not. So, the topic given was 'Role of Ethics in Business'. I performed well and got shortlisted for Personal Interview round where my etiquettes, body language, presence of mind, analytical thinking abilities were checked. So, while I was preparing for CAT examination, our faculties used to prepare for the PI round as well.
