Studying in Bharath university

I wanted to do my college from the south but the problem was that I was not being accepted by many of the reputed college. It was very frustrating, but finally i got accepted here. The cost of the application fee was thousand rupees. There were no admission tests, but I did have to sit for a personal interview and also i had to have scored atleast 60% in my icse and ISC.

I chose agriculture because I am very interested to learn about food, soil and plants. It is a very prominent course because the world depends on food for survival and now that the world is expanding, there are going to be more food shortages so in order to try and prevent this, I chose to study this course. Our classes consisted of ppt presentations, research practical, and even field work. We were given assignments which were added in our externals and helped us to score well in our semesters.

Placements start from the final year. Our college has a placement team. They approach the recruiters and after which they list out job openings. During my placement time, companies like Goodricke group and Kaveri group had visited our companies. The average package started from 30,000 monthly depending upon the company and the candidate. I did not get any placements because i did not apply for it. I wanted to study more.

My programme was a period of four years, and the cost was five lakhs in total. I had to pay one lakh twenty five thousand per year. This had to be paid on an installment basis. The fees is a bit costly but there was an option for scholarships. It was all merit based and i could not avail for it because I am an average student.

The university consists of six campuses with an area of 305 acres. Some of the events that are held are Ekalavya fest. It also has annual conferences, teachers day celebrations and also college sports, and then can even represent state and national levels. The classroom also consists of air conditioners and smart classes.
