Internship opportunity in BIITM

When I visited several MBA colleges I got to know that they are giving admission based on OJEE and another national level MBA entrance Examination. I applied for XAT and OJEE. I got 87.5 percentile in XAT and 12 ranks in OJEE MBA Entrance. I visited several colleges like KIIT and RCM but I choose BIITM. The reason is the fee is quite lower in comparison to other colleges and also they took only students who score good rank in OJEE. This college comes Under BPUT (Biju Pattnaik University of Technology). So To get admission we have to follow the criteria set by BPUT. To appear for OJEE One needs to complete graduation in any stream with a minimum aggregate of 50% and there is no limit. The counselling process was conducted in online mode by OJEE. Candidates need to choose different colleges through choice locking. After that, they need to pay Rs 10000 to OJEE as a counselling fee. After getting selection One needs to give Rs 62000 to as an Admission fee to BIITM to get a seat.

It is a two-year course with 4 semesters every 6 months. Total 4 sections are there and every section has 60 students. In the first two semesters, students will be provided with all the common subjects. After the second semester, They have to choose two specializations. The faculty members are highly qualified and very friendly and interactive. Students need to appear for two internal exams before any semester. The questions are not that much difficult and not that much easy.

When It comes to the Internship program our college provides great opportunities to every student. I am currently in my 1st semester but I am chosen as an Intern in Shri Ram Life Insurance. Some of the internships are paid and some are not. During the end of May, all the 240 students have placed as interns in various companies. Students have been provided several tasks and projects and got succeeded. Even In February ITC has selected few students from our batch as interns. Our students have also participated in MSME trade fair internships. This shows the dedication of the Placement Cell which works day and night for Students.

The most important factor while choosing an MBA college is placement and our college provides campus placement to each and every student. To sit on a campus one needs to have a minimum of 80% attendance. Total 60 companies participated in the placement process which starts just after last year even during the pandemic time more than 90% of students got placed in various companies. The highest package was 10 lacs offered by BYJU's in Marketing and the average package was 4/5 lacs. Top Companies like Amazon, Aditya Birla, Bajaj Allianz, Hdfc Bank, Mahindra, Asian Paints etc have visited for the recruitment process to our college.

The total fee for the course is 2.72 lakh. One can pay all the amount at once or they have to pay instalment wise and that is before every semester. The fee doesn't include hostel and mess charges. No Scholarships are provided in BIITM. The fee is very genuine and not that high.

The infrastructure is very rich. We have smart classrooms with ACs, Projectors and a big library where students are provided books for the temporary time period. The campus is very neat and clean. Ragging is illegal. As I am in my 1st semester and many classes are conducted online I am not that much aware of tech fest and all. But I have asked several seniors and they have told me that the college organizes a tech fest and annual function. It also includes sports activities and a Business quiz competition. Students also took participated in many social and cultural festivals.
