Remarks

Sri Sairam Institute Of Technology has good infrastructure and placement records. Friendly and well qualified staffs. Staffs methodology of teaching was like spoon feeding. College management encourages students to participate in various hackathons, sports etc and used to award winning participants with cash price directly from College CEO. Recently my college was turned autonomous. Mobile phones are allowed inside the campus and not to be used during class hours. Most of them used to get placed during placement times. For a good placement record and infrastructure, you can join this college. Actually, I got info about my college through collegedunia and another website. Once upon a time, my college was so strict. Now rules were relaxed. The fees were somewhat more. I chose this college only because of my good placement records.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I like to work in before computers. I had some interest in computer, for this reason only I chose IT Department. Actually, I applied for CS but I got IT in my college. 30 to 40 can be accommodated in a class. Totally 7 periods per day. 3 intervals. 2 break intervals, 1 lunch break. Faculty methodology was somewhat good and like spoon feeding. They allocate mentors(faculty staffs) to groups of students to take care, help and motivate their students. For a class, there will be three mentors and three groups of students. They also monitor and track their student activities in studies and co curricular things. My college used to conduct retest for those who failed to enough marks(pass mark). They used to make students prepare well before appearing for semester exams. Conduct special classes for those who score low scores in exams.

Placement Experience

4

I joined this college only because of my placement record. They used to maintain a good placement record. 90% of CSE and IT department students used to get placed more on comparing with other departments. The average salary package of my college is between 2.5L to 3L per year. The highest package was almost 12L per year. In 2018 98/102 students got placed only from the IT department. TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, HCL etc were some most recruited and top companies of this college. From the 7th semester starting itself placement works starts. And ends shortly. Salary packages may also differ even after getting placed, only if they have good coding skills and some other skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

College fees were somewhat high. But college will provide scholarship to students by their cgpa grade. Nothing other than this they will provide. They used to spend money for us only on the competition. I have a First graduate scholarship from the government of Tamil Nadu. The scholarship was very poor in this college.

Campus Life

3.5

Students can avail library pass and can access any books with that. Playgrounds and courtyards are well and good in this college. Students used to participate in various hackathons and sports, inside and outside the college. This college has so many clubs and social groups. They have NCC, NSS, YRC, code club, Tamil mandram, mobile application development, agriculture, adventure etc. Won National level hackathons conducted by Indian government. Coding classes and other courses were also been taught to the students(not free of cost). Recently they have started Sairam Radio. NUTPAM 2.O, Hack in Hub, Project Expo etc are the annual and technical fests of this college conducted during September and December.
