Remarks
• Good Aspects: Faculties are very good and friendly in nature. You can ask any doubts freely and anytime. They will solve your doubts. The infrastructure is very good. Classes are well furnished and hygienic. • Bad Aspects: Staffs are so intolerant. You can't ask for any help from them. Authorities are not punctual. They don't teach college at any fixed time. If you have any management related query or work, you have to wait for them to come. • Admission Process and dates: The admission process usually starts in mid June. You have to fill the form and there will be an exam but don't worry it won't be too hard if you have studied 10th well. • Reason for preferring this college: Fees is much lower and great educational facilities. This college is much popular and also it's near to my home. • I searched its reviews on social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and also Google maps. The reviews were good. I also referred to its official website ,i.e, www.gayacollege.ac.in
Course Curriculum Overview
• I always had a great interest in computers and was always eager to learn more about them. And it was a great opportunity for me to go further in the technical career line. • Faculties are nearly 50 and students are approx. 10k. So you yourself can imagine that faculty: students ratio is not so good. • Faculties are well-qualified. Their teaching methods are also unique. The way they explain everything is wonderful except for some teachers who just give lectures and instruct you to make notes. • Exams, basically there is no fixed schedule for exams. I mean authorities say that exams will be according to the dates as shown in the academic calendar but it doesn't happen. It's not timely. Examinations were moderate if you study well, you can easily score well in academics.
Placement Experience
• Students are eligible for campus placements in their final year. They can also apply for internships in between. It helps a lot to add an edge to their CV as work experience. • Many companies like HCL, Lenovo, Tata Consultancy, Wipro etc., visit the college for placements. The previous year, many offers were made, some students got placements in HCL and three or four got in Tata Consultancy. • Highest package till now was 33 LPA by HCL and the average package was 7 LPA. Note that it's not only your academics that will show you to the companies, you must have any extra abilities or talents or rather work experience for a better package. Almost 60% of students placements. If you don't get on-campus placement, don't worry you can apply for off-campus placements, just be confident and present your best in interviews. • I am currently in my 2nd year, and after completing my degree, I am planning to have further studies of MCA from a good university in Delhi.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
•In our time, I mean in the 2019 year, the fees were reasonable, i.e., 12000 per year for BCA but now it has increased to 20000 per year. So I think there is a great hike in fees. After all, it's a government college, its fees should be reasonable for lower class students too. • There's a good thing about the college, it provides 70-80% of its fees back as a scholarship on a merit basis. But you have to fill the form for that. So if you are from the lower class, make sure you keep checking about scholarship forms.
Campus Life
• Annual fests are conducted in the month of February. You can take part in various co-curricular activities in it. Also, many students get rewarded on that day for their achievements. • A wide variety of books and journals are available in the library but you can't choose them yourself. You have to name the book which you want to issue and a librarian will bring the book for you. The library should be rebuilt and more books should be de available for students. • Many sports and co-curricular activities organise at regular intervals. You can take part in them. • There are many groups like NSS, NCC, ABVP and music clubs. You can join them as per your choice.
