Entrance Preview
No entrance test required to join Amity for Undergrad courses. They have their own selection procedure consisting of an essay and personal interview.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure is very well planned and the syllabus is extremely good for an undergraduate course. The syllabus comprises of topic from general management studies in the first 4 semesters and specialization option also available in the last 2 semesters. Ranging from marketing, finance, IT, economics.
Internships Opportunities
Internship if mandatory in the 2nd year. Help and assistance provided by college to find internship for students. No fixed stipend as it varies from each industries where the students select to pursue their internship.
Placement Experience
Assistance provided by college for placements. Plenty of job opportunities available as a lot a reputed companies visit the college for recruitment. Avg salary package offered was 5L. Companies like CTS, Taj, Hyatt visited for campus recruitment. Separate placement cell available on campus for any placement related assistance.
College Events
Various management festivals conducted by the college. Also, a small fest conducted amongst the students to keep them engaged in extracurricular activities leading to more student interactions and team building. Also participated in inter-college fest conducted by various other universities in the city.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a bit on the expensive side. Total of 3 lakhs for the BBA program. Each semester consisting of 50,000. The laptop was provided by the University. Infrastructure was up to the mark. WiFi all over the college with air-conditioned classes on the campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
Loan facility not offered by University. However, loans can be obtained from banks. The main campus of the University offers scholarships for eligible students.
Campus Life
University is very gender and religiously tolerant. No discrimination did base on students' race, culture religion or color. Students also get the option of studying one semester abroad. Which gives very good exposure to them. Being present internationally the gender ratio is very diverse.
Hostel Facilities
No hostel in Chennai campus but a lot of PG available around the vicinity of the University. Average rent expense of 4,000 per month. Canteen facility available in the campus, which is priced reasonably. Other expenses on an average of 5,000, each month.
Alumni/Alumna
Can expect good interactions with seniors post-graduation for any help. Seniors were very helpful during orientation and also during the course.
Exam Structure
Semester exams conducted along with regularly spaced unit tests to keep a tab on the progress of each student. Unit tests were conducted to gauge the progress of the students and identify weak areas and improvements were given to students based on the results.
Faculty
Highly qualified resident faculties and also very respectable visiting faculties from various different industries giving a very enhanced and quality education to its students. Most of the faculties are very helpful and are willing to clear all doubts and questions even after college hours.
