Remarks

To get into UCT-OU the only way of entrance is TS-EMCET after completing intermediate we need to write the entrance and based on the score we have to choose this college, once we get the admission we have to complete the certificate verification and must report to the college. This college is quite good value for money and good Labs and faculty. And coming to negative points the only drawback is placements, no placement is offered from the college end. Very rare branches are offered in this college and tution fee is very low and hostel facility is simply amazing good quality food and at lower prices.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have choosen Textile Technology as it is a rare course and less taken way, this course details with fiber to fashion. Various aspects like an introduction to Textile Technology, Yarn manufacturing, Fabric Manufacturing, Wet processing, printing, dyeing, garment manufacturing, etc. Are thought during this course. Faculty: student ratio in this college is like 1:5 And faculty will take care of and monitor the students. The faculty is more friendly and interactive. All the teaching staff is well qualified few are done their PHd and a few are done their M. Tech from NIT. Though faculty are using conventional teaching methods they make students understand the concepts. Coming to exams there will be two internal and one external exam. And one lab external exam. It is quite difficult to pass and score better in the exams, as it is a completely new subject to students and students must learn on their own. But once we understand the concept it is simple and we can score best.

Internships Opportunities

5

Same as placements for internship also we have to try on our own no support from college but an internship is mandatory. The industry is ready to offer internships for students. But no paid internship is offered. And one project is mandatory. I have done my project with the help of the industry.

Placement Experience

1.5

For placements, I'm completely dissatisfied. There will be no placements offered by the college, no proper placements cell, and a placements committee. Even faculty will not take care of placements. Everyone must try off-campus placements. Out of 20 students, only 5-10 will do the job. I tried off-campus placements and placed and I got a package of 2.5 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

As this is a government college the tution fee will be 10,000 per year. And during joining, we need to pay 15,000 for college fund and 15,000 hostel fee (optional) and monthly mess fee will be around 2500. If you have a reservation and eligible for TS Epass complete college fee will be paid by the government and a scholarship of 15000 per year will be offered by the government. No financial assistance and job on campus with a stipend will be provided. Students can teach home tuitions in the nearest places and earn some extra money.

Campus Life

5

This is a big university and especially in this college, there will one fest and a couple of seminars. Fest name: TechnOsmania This is a techno-cultural fest where there will be educational seminars and as well as cultural programs. There will be a lounge where regular competitions are conducted. Regular college level, campus level, and state-level sports events will be conducted. There will be several social groups, NGOs, and clubs started by students. Several people are got benefited by these groups.

Hostel Facilities

5

In this 1st year, there will be 4 share room, in 2nd year 3 share room, in 3rd year 2 share room and final year personal room will be provided. Fan, lights, Coubrord, study table, and sockets are provided in the room. Meals' quality is simply amazing, and pricing is very low. The menu will be based on students' demand there will be a student community for mess who will be deciding the menu. During the college reporting, we have to opt for a hostel and the fee will be around 15,000 for 4 years. And additional mess charges. Generally, no one will stay in PG and rented rooms as the college providing the best hostel at cheaper rates. Hostels outside the campus will be around 7,000 per month.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I felt that entire curriculum needs to be changed, since there are many useless subjects that are irrevalant to software engineering in CSE. I also felt subjects like c,c++, java needs to be replaced with python and web development subject should be replaced with something like nextjs. Initially I thought the syllabus and curriculum was good untill 3rd year of my Btech degree. The curriculum of jntuh is outdated in terms of real world. Teaching methods are ok though it needs minor improvements in some areas. The frequency of exams is same, you get semester exams and supply exams , you will have more chances to clear you backlogs, my advice is to clear backlogs in same year or try not getting any backlogs in engineering. timing of exams is usually after every 6 months out of which we usually have 180 or more working classes days. And in between we get sundays, holidays, events and other things. Semester exams are difficult especially subjects like mathematics or electronic subjects like ADE, which is irrelavant to CS.

So far Infosys, accenture, cognizant, LSEG, Verisk have come for placements. The details are unknown to all the people but the highest package yet has been around 16-20 LPA.
